Could be a reasonably good window for us. We need more embargos like this.
This window stands head and shoulders above any of his previous attempts at moving this Club forward, some of the previous recruitment has been abysmal at best...

We've been crying out for experience, physicality, nous, height and balls for 3 seasons...At last it appears the penny might've dropped and all the more remarkable considering he hasn't had the luxury of piling up more debt at his doorstep..

Some decent players being brought into this Club in the last couple of weeks....

Completely agree. Still hope he ****s off and we get taken over by some investment fund that refuses to pay wages higher than £8k a week.

They'll almost certainly be back down along with the other 2 that went up with them...Competing up there is fast becoming an impossibility.

As an aside,I'd welcome Gelhardt back for the season,I was disappointed to see him going back the last one.For a loanee,he put some of our permanents to shame with his attitude, drive and energy.

Good player, look forward to seeing him.

I think they’re the first team in a while that stands a chance of staying up. Their recruitment has been very good since Robbie Evans came in, they lost some of their best players last season, replaced them on the cheap and went up as Champions. I think they’ll spend the maximum they’re able to this year and they’ll spend it well.

I'm pretty sure there'll be a swiftly organised ego massaging Q&A to follow some of these new signings.

Opportunity will be made available to question the wage structure, free away travel and the possibility of the provision of free Turkish Delights on the concourse.(The edible kind, not the belly dancing variety).

I firmly believe this might also be the first live Q&A in which somebody actually kisses Acuns bare behind...Hope springs eternal:emoticon-0148-yes:

It'll be 'members' only, I'll get you a ticket. :emoticon-0138-think

Genuinely think Hughes has a higher ability potential than Greaves, so I’d not entertain figures less than his. Even at this stage.
I was never a huge fan of Greaves until his final season with us.
I hated his defending at corners, which was basically grabbing the opposition player & one or both falling to the ground, VAR back then & he’s giving away a ton of penalties.
Rosie managed to stop him from doing that **** & then he was gone!
Hughes is a better player than Greaves by a mile, I’d say up there with Maguire.

Whatever you say, don’t say we won the transfer window! EVER!

On the ball I don’t think it’s even close… Hughes is a cut above, passing first touch. Greaves probably a bit quicker, stronger and better in the air. God they’d have been some pairing together

Still think Hughes has a mistake or rash decision in him but that's understandable for a young player. He does need to cut them out though to go to next level.
