I’m gonna paint a Monty quote on the wall in the kitchen to inspire my mornings.

I’ve been wondering the same. Got a mate up from Devon next weekend and don’t want to take him to see our reserves!

Looking forward to your next post about who we should be signing? What do you recon up top Monty? Bring back Wyke or hijack Liverpool’s Isak move?

Which one are you going for?

Just make sure it mentions team being rubbish, lack of ambition and names a player who we should sign who would struggle to get in the starting 11 but because he scored this week we need him!

That wish we had x player cause he had a decent game this week is what I used to think as a kid!

Could be bulls**t heard lads talking behind me saying originally we were meant to be playing two days in Germany but things changed, he reckoned the first team will be playing over in Germany and second team against Rayo at the SOL,can’t get my head around this like considering we playing our first game at home, getting used to all the settings and pitch stuff surely the first team will be at the SOL

Not long back from the SoL. Thought we acquitted ourselves well, partnerships improving and developing all around the pitch. 7/10 imo.

Nick Barnes said on the radio prior to the match that he’s heard the team in Germany will be pretty much out first eleven, and the second team in the UK. He did counter balance by saying they had heard that the Hull match would be pretty the second team, but it wasn’t.

Funny hearing the interviewer being thrown off when Reinildo expressed his excitement for the Championship to start.

The attack at 6 mins in was our best move of the match. Really promising. Thought Mayenda messed it up live, but actually watching it back it was a poor final pass from Hume after a great run.

Doesn’t make sense marra does it, first team have only had 90 minutes together on the pitch at the SoL today, surely another 90 minutes would be hugely beneficial

A decent afternoon out if you look at the football not the score line which doesn't matter.

New players are still bedding in and working things out but there were more promising signs than negative feelings. Loved Roefs and feel more comfortable with him between the sticks than Patto. Sadiki is a unit and goes in hard. I think he'll be our pet ****house this season. Xhaka was unreal both with playing and organising things. I hope a captains armband is coming his way. We've been crying out for a proper organiser on the pitch for so long.

Lovely day weather wise, plenty of upbeat people wandering around in footy tops, new artwork and work on the concourse is fantastic. Brilliant to see so much positivity around the place.

Still feel confident heading into the new season.
