I imagine after watching the Hull game, Speakman & Ghisolfi (whatever his name is) just thought ‘**** this’ and went and sorted the keeper deal out through the night.

 

Spot on mate. The fact that the window remains open long after the season starts is a pain in the neck for everyone. If we can get our incomings done and dusted before the WHU match,I'll be delighted.

 

How likely is it we see Xhaka and Roef against Betis if they both get announced today? Will they need to wait for work permits?

I'd say that's guaranteed mate, the club is really pulling out all the stops.

Lots of people, including 'trusted' sources, were saying the Xhaka deal was falling apart and the next thing we know he's landing in the NE ...

... last night Moore was in goal and people were talking about Patterson, then this morning 'kaboom' and we have a new player!

I'd say the club definitely have more players up their sleeve who haven't even been guessed at ...

... it's absolutely brilliant how the club are doing all this.

Of course, as supporters, we'll all want more but I'd imagine Le Bris is like that and the same as most managers

I was blabbing on about ortega yesterday because he was the name in the press albeit only very loosely linked, need to stop trying to 2nd guess what’s going on, fell back into the trap as I was getting twitchy about a keeper, we operate so well there will be multiple plays in negotiations we will never know about so I need to take my own advice and sit back and enjoy the ride! We’ve never had it this good in my lifetime

That's all we need and we'll still have the likes of Rigg, Huggins, Alese, etc to come in.

It's a matter of keeping the balance right, and the finances stable, but they're barely putting a foot wrong at the moment.
