Other than the odd game or two per season, the last time we genuinely created chances consistently was early days under Shota. This is why all our strikers have appeared to be dog tod since. Estupinan got most of his goals under Shota at the early end of that season - the issue was we couldn't defend and ended up worse off for it once we got on a bad run.

Rosenior was all about control - and splashing out that season on quality up top essentially made things work a lot of the time, but there were a lot of games that season where we created very little in front of goal. We were good defensively, but barely ever won comfortably.

Walter - who knows? On paper he could have got us creating chances but due to the mental summer window we've no idea how that could have played out and we essentially ****ed him over despite his more obvious flaws. Nobody was surprised that didn't work out.

Selles then comes in and for large patches we couldn't buy an effort on goal, but he did enough to have us stop leaking goals and had us limp to survival.

None of these managers have been 'good' for the strikers we've pissed through because we've been starving these players of what they need. Delap could create his own chances. Since him, we've needed to play positive football as a team in order to succeed and we just haven't done anywhere near enough of it.

Jakirovic - the jury is out. Positive signs in pre season but we've pretty much ****ed him over already in the same way we did Walter. It'll be interesting to see if we perform poorly (as we're largely expected to) whether people turn on him in the next few months.

The worst part is. Acun isn't spiteful he's just ****ing useless and incompetent. We all know spiteful owners at this club.
Yes, I'll admit there's a bit of that, but not sure to what level...Seems as if he put all his eggs into one basket in the 23/34 season thinking we had a decent chance of at least making the play-offs. In hindsight we should have done...Now it's all crashing around his feet, and it's hope that's taken over, rather than anything based in solid conviction, logical and sound decision making. Very sad. But eh, you never know, we might surprise the pundits. I sincerely hope so.

Just a question on Ajayi, maybe I'm going senile but wasn't Puerta confirmed before he signed, not sure about Laalaoui (likely spelt incorrectly) in which case WTF is going on...surely this the Sporting Director or Hodges remit...
We didn’t pay a fee for Ajayi so the EFL sanctions don’t touch his transfer.

Most of Estupinan goals were pinball goals.

Apparently the Mcburnnie deal isn't as dead as we thought according to some, although i can't for the life of me see how we can a. afford his ridiculous wage or b. how the efl will sanction it

I won't turn on Sergej. It won't be his fault. We're expecting a very tough season.
I will say I didn't want him to come in but, he has and nothing will be blamed on him. It's all squarely on Acun he's created all of this through hubris.

Where has it come from that Mcburnnie wants a huge pay day?
Seen it mentioned a few times on here but nowhere else.

Baz's opinion article today stated that we have an overall wage cap rather than a player specific one.

If that's the case, Omur's and Burstow's wages (rumoured to be up to £50k p/w) being freed up could have allowed McBurnie to get his £40k a week without us going over?

Although I don’t imagine we’ve lost 100% of their wage
