I remember posters saying only a few tweaks this summer
That big money striker signing and we’d be fine <laugh>
You really do wonder what was in Alzate signing on deal?
I think we will see a couple more players leaving too. Fully expect Kamara to be sold. As for the Alzate deal? makes you wonder how many palms have been greased, Sounds very similar to the Philogene deal.

we cant sign him
we are not allowed to spend that money <laugh>

he’s a free and if we are still in for him the EFL must have indicated they are working with us?

so from the squad we ended the season with

these players have gone ;

burstow
alzate (basically gone)
jones
macca
Jacob
pedro
amrabat
burns
gelhardt
Lincoln
puerta( he would be in the 'in' section but.. he cant play)

and we have brought in ;

Ajayi
Phillips

yikes..

Keep it going. The swamp isn't fully drained yet.

gonna say with returning players I’m happier with what we have now if we manage Lundstram, aside from Alzate and Geldhart I don’t think we will miss any of them.

I don’t think Burstow is very good, unfortunately. On the face of it a bizarre decision to allow him to leave but again, we have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes. Don’t think he’s good enough to play in the championship so it’s the right move for him, and if we have players coming in it’s definitely the right move for us too.

This board is fast becoming the Facebook group.
I always feel unnerved when Amin does sensible posts without any obvious piss takes.

For those wondering about non-fan based income for this season, to the best of my knowledge we will definitely get:

Just over £8m in TV money (£4.5m from the PL YV deal, £2.5m from the EFL, plus around 10x TV appearances @ £100k each).

Around £3.5m in solidarity payments from the PL.

Anywhere between £7k and £100k depending on how high up the table we finish.

So we're guaranteed at least £11.5m for being a Championship club.

Chuck in the sponsorship money and whatever we have made in player sales so far and we're probably at around the £15m mark. Which, isn't great to be honest.
That might just about cover the offer for Mcburnie

No idea but Burstow is reporting on 15k a week, which is just ****ing mental.

I wonder how much Bolton are going to contribute, probably 2k knowing our mental owner.
Who is reporting 15k for burstow??

so let’s see we bought him for a million or was it two? And gave him 15k a week
Don’t you think this highlights a lad with a lot of potential?
So last season was poor he was unsettled and didn’t do that well
But
He’s a year older
He’s stronger now
Got a little more experience
And now is when you put some faith in him and get him really going
But no
Actually we’ve written him off and sent him on loan
This is exactly what you don't do with young players

Agree with overwhelming majority of that......only bit I slightly disagree with is on the CB side of things, selling 3rd and 4th choice for a reported 2-3.5m and replacing with 2 frees looks like good financial sense, on the footballing side was v impressed with semi on sat too so there's potentially an argument about improving depth wise tho obv time will tell.

I agree and I think Ajayi looks a solid signing, though on the day Ajayi was announced, we (as in the wider fan base) didn't know for certain that Jones or Macca were leaving. We have now got two centre halves signed, but Ajayi did sign a month before Macca left.

All I know he signed 2 years contract, no other info disclosed, and there aren't many reporters following his club.

He signed a year long loan deal, he hasn't gone permanently. Unless something's changed and he is now going.

It's a ridiculous decision either way. The question I keep asking with these is "what do WE get out of it?" It's not as though Omur was even a bad player, I think playing as a 10 under Jakie would be good for him especially now that we don't have Gelhardt. But instead we've leant him to Antalyaspor for the year while he's still got 18 months left on his contract. They get a good player we could have done with while we get the shaft.

The only reason I can think of for all of this is that the £7k per week rule imposed by the EFL that we have somehow applies to players coming back after loans elsewhere and therefore he can't play. Which might also be why Puerta has hit the bricks, because they seem a lot more confident about Laalaoui getting sorted than they do about Puerta.

Just a question on Ajayi, maybe I'm going senile but wasn't Puerta confirmed before he signed, not sure about Laalaoui (likely spelt incorrectly) in which case WTF is going on...surely this the Sporting Director or Hodges remit...

He'll score loads for Bolton...L1 is his level...Have we brought in anyone to replace him? ...I'm guessing that's a no. Squad looks paper thin (AGAIN) As if it's already on the bones of its arse. Less than two weeks to the kick off...Typical..

The worst part is. Acun isn't spiteful he's just ****ing useless and incompetent. We all know spiteful owners at this club.
