I’ve slept on it and after being told to stop posting last night, several times, I’ve decided I’m done posting on here. This is re-enforced by the continuous suggestions that anyone who frequents this thread regularly to discuss rumours is “obsessed” or ruining it for those that only pop in occasionally and just want news. I hope the thread is better for those that don’t want the “negativity” now. Frankly this will probably be better for my mental health.

I’ve set my twitter back up. Feel free to follow @adamguestsafc . I won’t post anything interesting but then you wouldn’t expect me too, but at least it will help me understand who to follow

Last night was ridiculous mate, I wouldn't take anything said to heart on this forum

Obviously do what you want, but anybody who doesn't like anybody posts can always press the ignore button and you can do the same to them without missing out on the joys of 1800 page long threads...

 

Sad to see you go mate, if you can't be persuaded to stay. The board will definitely lose out on your insights and be a bit less.

 

You'll be a big miss if you stop posting on here. Please reconsider it, and ignore the negativity.
I often get frustrated on here too because the moment you show any concern or criticism about a player or the club some posters feel the need to have a go and try to suggest your not a proper fan. Ive had it happen to me many times over the years, more recently was my frustration with Cirkin and his never ending injuries.
We're all entitled to our opinions and some posters on here need to wind their necks in!

This is supposed to be a great time for us as fans to enjoy the window and the build up to being back in the Prem and its getting spoilt by some posters who think everybody should have the same opinion as themselves.

 

I wouldn’t say it’s taken to heart but more just ridiculous the way people get grouped on. It’s the same a lot

I don’t want to start it back up but I’m going to step back from here now and observe now aswell. It’s stupid.

This place suffers immensely if you are to stop posting. That said, mental health first and if you are finding this place is bringing you down you should absolutely spend some time away. You will be missed.

Having a break from online forums can be a good thing tho, I did it myself earlier this year and it definitely helps.

Hoping so. Doesn't get the attention he deserves because of being back up to one of the best keepers around but generally highly regarded and should be at a team where he can prove how good he is

 

Two things about the internet;

1. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't post it.
2. If you're too delicate to take abuse or criticism from arseholes keep away from it.

Been a good few instances like this unfortunately. I have raised it loads and observed it from a far at times. To put it simply it's an older style of posting vs a newer style, some people just can not handle it and it ends up like last night. I would actually bet, it's age demographic related too. But again, I would have expected greater intervention from the powers to get involved to sort it but as usual, nah.

 

You’re spot on. Had enough mate to be honest, I can’t bite my tongue especially when people I’m mates with get jumped on.

Personally, I appreciate the data insights from around the globe and scout inputs from you all.

It's definitely a USP of this forum and very rare, so we need to preserve it where possible. If others don't treat that with respect, then moderators need to forget relationships and friendship groups and earn their crust.

 

Forums don’t work if we all have same views.

If I want someone to agree with everything I say I’ll talk to the dog.

Same that when folk post craic, true or otherwise, that’s what we come here for.

Even if its bollocks it fills time, creates excitement and opens up multiple side conversations.

That’s what a good forum should do and why I’ve been on here and nowhere else for some 15 years.

 

Feel the same as @Southern A tbh but I’m not going to feel like I can’t post on a forum because a bunch of very grown men think I’m not allowed to be sceptical of something. Also btw yes I do get quite obsessed over a transfer window but can you blame me with how good the situation is at the moment with the club. FWIW I’m a 24 year old lad who’s used social media all his life, it might look obsessed but it barely affects my day as it takes me two minutes to post. Anyway…

A bit of new news? Reckon it could be accepted anyone?
