Another exciting game and that young 19 year old forward, what a strong player she is. 5pm on Sunday now.Mind you glad it didn’t go to penalties we missed another one.

Definitely a penalty. You can’t wrestle a centre forward to the ground in the box. Easiest decision for a referee.
Every corner is a penalty then. She didn’t drag her to the ground she put her arms round her, as did Mead btw, but Mead threw herself to ground. You can’t be giving penalties for that as like I say you’d have to give them at every corner. It’s a contact sport.

Either way, come on Germany

Buzzing for them. But absolutely bonkers that someone gets a free shot at goal for both players hugging each other nowhere near the ball.

I've long felt that penalties are over the top in many cases, but to be fair in that incident I thought Mead was trying to attack the cross and the defender was just trying to wrestle her. The fact she was trying to get free and not being allowed I think was what made it so easy to give. You see it all the time and they usually get away with it but it's clearly not supposed to be allowed.

I've mentioned her previously but I think Hemp is such a good player. She's brilliant at beating her defender 1v1 and always involved in attack but she's also so reliable getting up and down and doing everything. Even after playing 120 minutes and then putting the ball in for the penalty, she was then back throwing herself in front of a cross to stop it coming in in the dying seconds. She must be so fit. I thought it was odd that we took Greenwood off when making the late defensive sub when we could've taken off an attacking player who'd played 120 minutes such as Hemp (or Toone to be fair) but clearly the management weren't concerned about their energy levels.

Tell you what though. Last two games I'm calling for Hemp to be dropped. I'm in Cell Block three, fourth window from the right.

She's lost some pace and doesn't glide as easily past defenders, but that was some engine she showed tonight.

Reet chuffed about that.

Another "They think it's all over" moment agin Germany would be a treat 59 yahre later.

Hat trick for young Agyemang.

This England team have been living a charmed life all tournament but that penalty decision (and then missing the penalty but getting the rebound) just about sums them up!

Where’s this luck for men’s team? Southgate would have multiple winners medals by now!

Maybe because they don’t **** about with it for 10 minutes passing it every way except forwards - turns out you can create more chances going for it.
