Ozzy was one of those great characters and showmen that I respect and admired without actually enjoying his music. I was not into Black Sabbath or his solo stuff. I did like ‘Crazy Train’ however. I only took a slight interest in Sabbath because of Bev Bevan - who used to play drums for ELO which is one of my favourite bands. Respect to him though - he was a great showman and entertainer. RIP Ozzy.
Bev Bevans drum sound is unique and the earlier ELO albums are still wonderful today Jeff Lynne is also unwell and has cancelled concerts that won’t be rescheduled so I hope there’s not more bad news on the way
Was the hey day of my more youthful years unique in many ways and a true showman who knew how to be one with the audience . will remember him as one of the greatest .. .... ....... R I P Ozzy .... ....
