Luke would be one of the best club captains in the premier league, he is a class act, club captains responsibilities are endless and his infectious dedication to the cause will be crucial in getting the new lads settled. That in itself would help the team massively
No denying that, he just shouldn’t be starting many PL games

Leadership group of the names that you'd probably expect. Club captain remains Luke. Don't ever define a team captain. Just give the armband to whoever makes sense depending on the team that RLD selects.

I can't see that happening personally.

I think it'll be Xhaka and O'Nien as club captain ...

... and a nominated penalty taker hopefully.

I've always hated team captain. It's the same as nominating a captain for England in my view. Tends to mean that you give it to a player who is picked more, and then have far more drama than is necessary when the nominated team captain is either dropped or subbed. Far better just to name the captain based on the team. More often than not it will be a settled player. But as and when that changes it shouldn't be a drama. Naming one just tends to create noise in my view - particularly now we're in the PL and we don't really know who will settle and who will not (or the amount we'll need to rotate).
