3m for Alfie is quality business, we are well covered in CB and he had fallen out of favour. Frees up some funds for the top end of the pitch hopefully...

Whether it finishes up at £3 million or not,we'll soon see?

As for funds, they're not really a requirement at present. We're fishing in the loan pond and match revenue, sponsorship, monies in etc will pay the wage bill...I suspect monies coming into the Club at present through player sales will be going back to Acun Medya to service our ever growing debt..

Does that mean we are getting £6m for him?

He only moved house last year, he and his wife are very settled and love living in this area. He definitely didn’t want to move clubs until he was told in March that if an offer came in for him the club would sell him.
That’s really poor isn’t it
I don’t like others
Dublin or whoever it is making these decisions
A new manager comes in it should be him running the rule over the players. And making the decision to keep him or get rid.
A famous example for us would be Sir Steve Bruce resurrecting Paul mcshanes career.
Ridiculed and hated by the fan base and sent out on loans by successive managers, pearson and barmby and then
sir Steve comes in and gives everyone a clean slate and the rest is history

That's pretty average for away games to be honest...We're the silly ****ers that do £15 games and allow away supporters to out-sing us for half the price we pay at their gaffs:emoticon-0148-yes:

I mean to be honest a pint at most players I’d 5 quid plus.

Linked to his poor downturn of form.

Hull’s fraught financial position means Boro have been in a strong negotiating position, and while it has been reported that the final package for Jones could be worth around £3m, it is understood the initial up-front payment for the defender is set to be well below that figure.

I thought Jones had a poor season last time out. The arrival of Hughes (another ‘Rolls Royce’ defender) resulted in Alfie trying to step up his game. He tried to spray the passes that Hughes was capable of, but time after time just gave the ball away to the opposition.

I lost count of the times he tried to go long, only to find the opposition keeper. He’s not quick but reads the game well - but I actually think Egan is a step up in this regard. Whether the 2 new free transfers are of their quality remains to be seen, but the early impressions of Semi are good.

While the £ for Jones and McLaughlin might not be great, it’s vital income without potentially weakening the squad.

Vital Income for what?
