mainly cause I don't want to repeat myself in posts...

Before his sending off, he was brilliant. In fact, he played exactly like Joey Barton, he didn't put a toe out of line. He was attacking well, defending well and gave 100%

Yes the sending off was stupid, I'd like to say it was over-zealous cause he lost the ball, I haven't seen the reply but to say we should sell him and call him stupid and slag him off over the red is pathetic.

Everyone makes mistakes and it was the first game back since last season, first in the prem for two years and with Barton, Ben Arfa, Ireland and even Routledge battling for positions, he probably was playing to prove a point, yes he took it too far but he proved me wrong today cause I wasn't overly thrilled that he was playing either.

I think he will be (and has been) a good asset to the team. And if he goes and Simpson gets an injury, who goes right back? I'm sure people wouldn't appreciate Perch there. And it beats him scoring against us.

I think he looked decent before his sending off although lacks that flair and pace(see Enrique and Guti) and seems to ME like a poor mans' Barton.

I was quite pleased he was getting a chance today, there is nobody in the team better at direct free kicks than him, and I include Barton in that. I only seen the first half and bits and pieces of the second half today and he was doing okay, nothing exciting but made no mistakes, he was solid. However, to go in for a challenge like that and risk everything was completely stupid. The game was there to be won and I think he took that away from us.

What annoyed me the most is that it was such a stupid tackle. You never go into a challenge two-footed. Simple as that. Just don't stick both feet out and lunge at his legs. It can't be that hard, surely?

He really ruined his chance.

I thought that before the game, a poor man's barton and probably kinda would say the same now but he impressed me today with his performance in the first half.

I just dont like how 'fans' say get rid of a player who wants to play for the team... everyone has an opinion but it seems a little fickle to me.

I thought Taylor had a really good first half, especially when you think how long it is since his last game. It was a horrible challenge though, the ref had let far too many fouls pass, first time he gets his card out it's a red one.

......... and all the fouls he let go were against us. He had a stinker in my opinion.

Totally agree iToons, thought he played well other than that tackle. One of those where he just let his momentem take over and it took him through his man (probably after being a) a bit pissed at losing the ball and b) the fact that all nufc players hate elmander).
He genuinley looked upset walking off the pitch, but was nice to see his team mates give him a word walking off.
Good cover player and shouldn't be sold!

Agreed, that linesman that disallowed the goal at the end never gave an offside all first half, yet couldn't wait to put the flag up 2nd half.

He looked like he was going to cry when he got sent off, was having a decent game aswell, like Pardew said, he was just trying to make up for a bad touch, sham it turned into a terrible tackle.

I genuinely felt quite gutted for him when he walked off, looked like he was about to cry, he'll get another game at least this season after that performance apart from the tackle. Fair play to you Raylor lad <ok>

Before Raylor was sent off he was having a decent game, and with him on the pitch we would have won the game.

Ranger unlucky goal didn't stand but well done to the lad's for getting a draw.

I think in an interview with one of the players in a matchday programme last season, it said something along the lines of "Ryan [Taylor] doesn't think, he just kicks the ball as hard as he can". I think that tackle yesterday supports the point of not thinking very well. Just a moment of madness

A good lad and yes, a decent player, but I think surplus to requirements a little bit. He's hardly a step up from what we had available and we can most likely acquire a better option for relatively cheap in the summer. He'll be purely a bench warmer for the rest of the season I cannot see him starting over Joey again.

We shall see though, maybe he'll get another chance, pick up a bit of form and do well.
Don't get me wrong, I hope the lad comes back and proves me wrong. But, right now, I feel he is a bit surplus to requirements. As long as we find a suitable replacement in the summer, evidently.
