Aguerd and Cresswell would be fine. During AFCON we'd have Cresswell and Ballard with O'Nien and Alese as cover. That wouldn't be a problem.
Not keen on aguerd, the AFCON for me is a massive concern leaves only cresswell Ballard 09, discounting alese as he’s always injured. Ballard was quality in the play offs and I hope he can step up but Regis didn’t even have him first choice for a while. I’d like some pace and a left footer
Personally think that was more Reg was unsure on his fitness. When it mattered he picked Ballard, and **** me did the big lad repay the faith. Ballard can absolutely play PL.
Yeah it's certainly an option I wasn't really thinking about, screams Ipswich last season a bit but he's undeniably been a solid championship defender last season.
Aye. That said, doing the whole rebuild as Ipswich last season, and doing small parts, very different. There’s certainly championship players who can step up, just not a whole bunch in one team. Cashin could be the Delap factor. It’s an interesting thought.
Cashin would be a no from me, not PL quality at the minute imo. I really like him, watched him a lot over the years but I dont think he's ready to play week in week out in the PL I think he should get a loan to one of the title contenders in the Championship to help him develop
Cirkin is brave, that’s how the concussion happened. Can’t mess around with people’s brain health. Footballers are already at higher risk of dementia as it is. Both have contended with serious injury and come back, remaining focused as has Huggins. They’re all admirable in their own way. That doesn’t mean we can necessarily rely on them but it’s not for lack of courage or commitment.
Ffs. Long term injuries or more recuperation? We need our squad to be as strong as possible in case the new lads pick up injuries.
Luke shoulder, aji not sure, cirkin wrist hjlede Achilles, all miss the first few back after the international break
The hope is they’ve found solutions and the delay should see them available long term, rather than a relapse. I’ll pin a bit on that.
