They could only be registered on July 1st. I think the club got confirmation from the EFL of the temporary embargo last Monday (June 30th) and that was in place until Friday when they gave us a three-window fee restriction.
Yeah I just ment why hasn’t we registered the two players before last week.

They were due to be registered with us on July 1st. Sanctions began a day earlier
Yeah, I think it's either we couldn't due to the window not being open at the time or we needed to wait for the new FFP reporting period.
Seems strange though when usually we take forever to announce them when all the "i's are dotted" etc...

It is. Those are our only three midfielders who are available as of right now if Alzate goes.
Simons is gone, Mehlem is gone, Ömür is almost gone, Matazo’s injured until Christmas and Puerta and Laalaoui aren’t registered.

I stand corrected. George Best’s regen and a kid who has never played a minute of senior professional football will surely make the difference.
We’ve massively upped our already big wage offer to McBurnie. Think Acun is trying to prove a point!
If we really want him we have to up it, we can't give him a signing on fee, presently.
