Horrible news, and I wonder how it impacts the existing squad.
I would suspect Jota was insured, so FSG can replace him now. (If we were waiting on sale before purchasing again). I wonder if this means Diaz less likely to be leaving now.

I mean we've turned them down twice already and we ain't going to be selling now anyway, but they can't even wait to let the club breathe.
Not to mention, the reason Williams turned them down was because they couldn't register him. What they expect Diaz to do, sit around and just play CL and cup games ala Olmo last season.

Such an odd one. Saw stuff saying that Sociadad didn’t want to sell last year as they also lost merino and Arteta has convinced them to hold off and will buy next year etc.
Does seem like sociadad out a lot of pressure on him to stay last year hence the turnaround and do wonder what would have happened if we’d have come in this year.
On paper looks good replacement but very diff type players from Thomas Rapey. Less legs and less of a destroyer, much more of a Grav type
