I'm sure they will be ensuring the EFL get what they need to lift that but I have no idea.

I know you're straw clutching but there's an official statement on the club website. Is that not enough?

The theory is we're now in the 2 day window to rectify things as per the EFL embargo guide. How the process works in terms on temporary embargo, real embargo, two day window - although it's a little vague on the sire. Unless the temp embargo included the two day window but that would mean it would have been Weds/Thur that we would have been listed on the EFL site (we aren't currently).

I think we've still got a couple of days for this really to play out.

Just to clarify,I'm not someone pissing my pants, owners come and go and have been for the 56 years I've followed,I've fell in love with none of them...

That said,I'd rather this one didn't darken our doorstep by welching on payments,be that with Villa solely, other Clubs or local suppliers. It's clearly going to sully our reputation going forward.

As for the nobody has died comment, bit needless but fully aware of that.

Like OLM suggest I think culturally Acun is bit flexible with deadlines. If thats the case he needs to sort it out.

Whether this is all sorted by Monday or at a later date hopefully its a real wake up call for him. The EFL aren't going to be messed around.

I think he was speaking with 'truth' on Monday, I don't think he was maliciously lying like some are suggesting. I think he's naive and a risk taker which might be worse but I don't think he's deliberately taking us for a ride.

We've spent too much on infrastructure (people, upgrades, other initiatives) for him to be a con man. I think he's reckless but ultimately wants the best for the club and his investment.

I think the EFL haven't commented because we're in the two day window to rectify things. I think the club have commented because of the fan's/media's demand for a comment/acknowledgment. Fans were criticising the club for silence.

It doesn't look good and it screams bad practice but we might be able to get ourselves out of it.

Was there any update on the meeting that was planned for yesterday re the training facilities/ Walton St.?

He said on Monday he was confident of a good result/meeting(not verbatim).

Comment wasn't aimed at you Ric. It's far from ideal, it's actually, pretty embarrassing and damaging. However there is zero evidence of it being anymore than a Turk playing hardball and getting burnt. The rest of the bumf on here is speculation and bed wetting. We have this desire these days to completely dramatise everything, starting with the desperate for likes 'journalists' who fan the flames with their silly headlines and misleading click bait.

Weirdly people at the club are very calm about it and very confident it'll be sorted without much fuss.

Hopefully they know a lot more than we do about it to have this attitude! lol

From the latest HDM article https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...s/inside-hull-citys-transfer-embargo-10319476

    What is City's position?
The club have said very little at this stage, but it is our understanding City believe they have evidence of what is in effect a credit note from Aston Villa regarding the payment for Louie Barry.

Hull City and Villa have worked closely on a number of deals in the past two years regarding Jaden Philogene and Barry, with the Tigers believing they have evidence to show they haven't missed a payment schedule as there was, in effect, no schedule in place due to an agreement which was made.

If City win the appeal will the embargo be lifted?
The Tigers appear very confident their appeal will be upheld, however don't expect that to see the embargo necessarily wiped out. It is more likely it will just be reduced, with one source indicating an embargo for this summer window is likely to be the best case scenario the club can hope for.

Basically, you need to treat an embargo and the transfer window restrictions as two separate entities. The embargo could end at any moment if City pay off all those owed money and clear their debts. That will then allow the club to register players again, however they will be unable to pay any fees while the transfer fee restriction is in place. This is a punishment, separate from the embargo.

The severity of the punishment can be appealed, with clubs previously having negotiated it down to two or one windows only, while it has been known for the punishment to be completely expunged and ended if genuine mitigating circumstances can be proven.

As things stand, can City still sign players?
No. Being under a transfer embargo means the club are not allowed to sign any players, whether free transfers, loans or regular deals.

Hull City already have a 23-man squad, which means they cannot claim a need to sign players to 'staff up' the squad, which can be done in these special circumstances by signing unregistered players or loan players. Sending players out on loan does not alter this fact either, as loan players would still be counted as eligible in the squad list of 23 players.

I hope so too, the HDM article just posted was a bit ominous suggesting the best we can hope is a reduction down to one window and the appeal process is just for us to be able to sign free agents and loan players.

I get that and I was thinking to myself earlier on...Where are all these Journalists keen to comment yesterday, that they knew about this before it became public knowledge? Some even suggesting it was worse than initial reports.!

One of two things here, they either know nothing or they're busy digging the dirt to add to the situation...I personally feel that the owner should be addressing the fans concerns directly and either admitting we're in a bit of bother or stating it's a proverbial storm in a tea cup?
