The thing I find unfathomable is about the timing of the payments. The club must make hundreds of bank transfers each month. Unless of course, those transactions over a certain value have to be held up if there isn’t sufficient funds/credit in the outgoing account.
There must be someone else in the club besides Acun who is responsible for the release of payments surely?
There are fair gambles , bosses egos and late paying deliberately by so many companies he’s not alone . He is a guy who puts positive spin on things, is it worse or better than Ehab being negative or secret or bluntly honest and tight . My biggest worry is if he leaves us with a pile of debt no one will take on . Out of interest have foreign owners predominantly been on the whole straight or dishonest with our footie clubs? It seems that many have tried to make money and left clubs in bad positions - what opportunities do they see that we dont ? Last suspicion is what if you pay Sinik £30 a week , and from his own bank account he pays you 10 or 15 k back each week , is that possible as a private transaction , apart from tax however levied ?
Why do we need the full story? Acun barefaced lied on Monday night to everyone left who thinks he's alright. It's one of 2 or both. 1. Barefaced liar 2. Super incompetent or lack of knowledge that a £1M blackhole is "bad" 3. Both of them I vote 3rd option.
First box ticked for those that needed that part confirmed as being reasonably true and not made up by a bad man...NEXT
Yeh I was wondering how all that works and who's responsible for it. It would be a huge job requiring specific skills and they should also be aware of the rules and consequences of missed paymenst etc. Surely Acun doesn't just have a bunch of Direct Debits set up .
This just doesn't make sense to me. Why have the Q&A saying no money trouble and getting new players in. Then this happens it doesn't look good and will look even worse with the Sky cameras following him
Any half decent admin worker would keep on top of that at any business for not much more than minimum wage. Probably a lot of red tape regards approval to actually make payments at a business the size of hull city tigers ltd though.
As I said at the start of the thread, the likelihood is it’s dodgy dealing rather than lack of funds. I haven’t done a great deal of business with people from that part of the world but the small amount I have done has involved a lot of moving goalposts and elaborate interpretations of agreements.
We must have a Head of Finance or similar titled person who is responsible for keeping a handle on all of these payments. Acun will have the final say on authorisation of any major payments but will be kept informed by the Finance team.
It seems very unfair on the player if its now off. I wonder if we could get round it as the details of the sale were agreed a long time ago. Probably not but who knows.
I dont think that anything they could say in the 18 hours would appease the situation. Once they have an exact grasp I am sure they will come out and give their version and the plan moving forward.
