Bloody Facebook!

It’s one of those reels that captures just after Watson scores then turns to run past the crowd going nuts. Then turns round to see Ballard with his arm round Watson and patting his chest.

Bit of a long shot...

You know the match commentary from the two Sunderland lads (frankie? - Ballards goal "I've never seen scenes like it" commentary).
Anyone got a link for the full second leg but with Coventry commentary and the full final with Sheff Utd commentary?

Wouldn't mind watching both full 90's with their commentary, just for the meltdowns at the end.

Watched that one, a few times.
Watching it live i never took notice of how biased it was, but watching it back...they're not even trying to disguise their bias.

It's strange, the bias is ridiculous and not even attempted to be hidden and I've no idea why.

You expect it from some pundits, like Alan Smith who's Shearer's mate, or from ex mag or Boro players. And you kind of expect it if there's a love in towards the club (especially if it's a big club like Arsenal or the Scousers), the manger (Lampard, for example) or a player (e.g. Barry Bannan). But this? Sheffield United aren't a glamour club, no disrespect to them, but they're not Liverpool, Chelsea, Villa etc. They're a solid, working class club with a solid fanbase, but have historically had limited success. If they were a team with a few cup finals, Euro qualifications, long periods in the top flight and a load of high profile quality players in the last 20 years or do, you could understand it, even if it's wrong. If they had a charismatic, successful manager or a bright young up and coming coach or a high profile ex player (Rooney, Lampard, Gerard), you could understand it. I could even understand it if it was a manager who was a regular pundit, the way Ron Atkinson or even McBastardly back in the day used to do it. But Wilder has charisma of an uncooked potato, has had a long career as a coach with limited success as well as seemingly being pretty unpopular in football circles.

You can only think that there is a genuine bias against us regardless of what we're doing.

I've been posting on forums for over twenty years and don't think I've seen a better post ...

... nothing I can add to that in all honesty.

Don’t know if this has already been said, but it turns out the Patto save with his legs, good save as it was, was actually irrelevant.
Much as the Commentators wanted us to believe it would have been 2-0 and game over.
VAR would have called handball when their player took it from Cirkin
(Tried to upload a photo but saying it’s too large?)

Screenshot the photo, then post that.
Crop it to get rid of the unwanted stuff from your screenshot.

I’ve watched that a few times. I thought at the time it was a solid handball but then from other angles it looks like he’s just got his arm over Cirkins chest and no contact made with the ball. I suppose that would be the good thing about VAR.
