I remember when he got the gig for last few games. We were all but down really. Absolutely dire football and confidence was just gone. Then he threw Craig Russell on as a sub first game in charge and he went and snatched us a winner. We went mental in the fulwell, as only the fulwell really could back then. A monster shot in the arm that goal and 3 points. Doubt we would have stayed up without it tbh. Everything changed then.
Was the way that goal went in as well, gods were with us. Felt like the wind spun the ball enough to make it drop in. I was in the Main Stand Roker Wing, it went absolutely mental.
Loved the guy....they way he had us playing with absolutely no fear was a joy...too many great memories to pick one or two to be honest
