Jesus. What annoys me is that this used to be a beautiful hotel. Also a good place to get a beer while waiting for a train or bus. Wouldn't mind if they had put them in the Gilson or Campanile. A bed is a bed.

Without wanting to stray into politics, given the recent announcements claiming no more housed in hotels, and the contract deadlines, it could be worth wondering what some of these larger HIMO type conversions in the offing could be about. :emoticon-0105-wink:

That flat I moved from last year, there was one of the other flats housing some of those. It started with a normal couple with a couple of kids but by the time they left, four families vacated it together. The original couple was hiring out the space to other families, he was making a fortune apparently.
 
Passing by the National Picture Theatre, on Beverley Road, last week I noticed the scaffolding had come down, no sign though of the promised new windows. According to the BBC website work was due to be finished last December, what's a few more months/years though?! :emoticon-0138-think
