Nothing to stop him resigning is there? Unless he doubts his chances of getting another decent paying gig then he’ll want to cling on to his bonus free wage.
I am no employment law guru but I would have thought that you must come to terms with a manager on gardening leave if you have employed his successor. However, we are QPR.
If it's bonus related, probably minimum wage
De Matteo and Potter were on de facto gardening leave from Chelsea for years, picking up big cheques. Didn’t stop Chelsea having multiple new managers while they were still on the payroll.
