Yeah, Liverpool have no intention of paying 150m euros (says Gorst on Redmen tv)

Current offer is £114m...133m euros.....that is what is being discussed atm.

No suggestion that the deal is in trouble at all.

We will let it go on and on and walk away of someone else comes in to try it on and out bids.

We have to maintain a rep as being a club who always negotiate hard and fair but won't be taken for a ride.

Utds rep is they will pay up no matter what fee you make up.

Paddy Pimblett (UFC fighter) said a while ago that he'd heard that Trent had been learning Spanish for 18 months. Obviously don't know if that's true but Paddy really laid into Trent online for the way in which he manoeuvred his move, so who knows.

We ended up paying the full £75m that Southampton wanted for Virgil (before we'd even sold Coutinho, before anyone throws that in) because he was always worth it. He was a generational talent. So is Wirtz. If we **** this up due to €17m then we're a comedy club. This isn't Fekir or Lavia, FFS.

Hard to believe he got to that level of Spanish in 18 months unless he was spending hours every day with a tutor

Still saying Wirtz is essentially done just he’s now on holiday so medicals etc won’t be sorted until next week
