just booked a break in Dubai direct with Emirates . £500 cheaper each than Tui and we upgraded to half Board rather than B&B .
Partners daughter got her cast off last Monday. We flew to Rhodes on Friday and arrived at our hotel at about 9:30pm Friday night. Had a a few days in the hotel and around the local area. We're going to Lindos on Wednesday and Symi Island on Thursday.
Symi is lovely, did it on a boat trip from Rhodes Town. Also, near Lindos, there is St Paul's Bay which is a lovely little beach, with crystal clear water
Both stunning. If you are staying overnight in Lindos there are lots of rooftop restuarants that you don't notice in the day, but look great lit up on the night. Symi, round the port is great as well.
Was the cast on her leg . Be careful of cardiac hill if you are planning to walk down to Lindos village and then to the beach from the main coast road above Lindos .
Think they have retired most of the donkeys now.We were there 2 weeks ago and only 5 or 6 in the coral
Visited London last week, after 3 years it was nice to visit an English-speaking country, finally some people I can understand. Next time I will visit north, Hull, but waiting for my son to born, could be his first game.
Katis suites, bit out of the town. Had a car to explore the north of the island. The sand dunes are lovely. Corralejo is quite nice especially at night. Used to love Fuerteventura but found it’s gone downhill a bit now.
We had a few days in November, it was good to get some winter sun. Stayed in an apartment just off the beach quite close to centre. Surprisingly full at that time of year. There is a music square with bands on stage every night. Beer in Correlejo cheap, which is always a bonus. Down the front I was paying 2 euros a pint in a bar and it then got to happy hour (all afternoon) and it was 2 pints for 2 euros. A couple of good and cheap sports bars as well.
Went a few (10?) years ago, Corralejo itself was ok but I found the surrounding countryside a bit bleak. Lots of half-built, abandoned building sites, hotels and apartment blocks where the developers had run out of money. Ok for a week but I wouldn't go back.
Not Corralejo, but been to Costa Caleta and Costa Calma. They were doing a major rebuilding project on Costa Caleta front and beach so it wasn't the best time to go. I'd imagine it's quite nice now though. Only 20 mins or so coach ride from the airport, which is good! Loved Costa Calma. Stayed at H10 Tindaya, chose Superior room, priviledge level which gave access to a private bar area and it's own sunbathing area. It wasn't that much at the time to upgrade; it was worth it. Nice hotel. The place isn't that big, but for me had a lovely calm about it, and the beach from the southern edge of the town is simply stunning and goes for miles. It might be too small /quiet for some, but I'd go back tomorrow, and / or maybe try a bit further south to Jandia / Morro Jable.
