If Ange gets through next season then that means he’s fixed the league issues that he’s had since late 2023. If he doesn’t fix them then he’s not seeing Christmas let alone the end of 25/26 season.

My problem is that all the candiates being mentioned are very underwhelming, aside from possibly Glasner, and I cannot see him leaving Palace.
Yeah I think he’ll stay because of that very reason. Levy will be happy with the trophy and champions league qualification but would still be ruthless and get rid if there was the ideal candidate out there
The problem is his compatriot Lange is supposed to be a huge fan.
I guess it will boil down to (if he gets the sack) who wields more influence, Lange or Paratici.

...nobody knows and on a daily basis, Daniel gets to pick which adviser's advice to follow. It looks like a **** of a lot of cooks.

Yep. I like Frank, but we already have a winner. Either replace him with another winner, or stick.
Personally, I'd give Ange another year, ask him to do in the league what he just did in the EL, back him to the hilt and see what happens.
At least give him the signings that would make us a worthy opponent in the super cup.

I think there is a lot to be said about the fact that we had to sacrifice our league position to land our first major trophy in decades.
THFC is not built to fight on multiple fronts…that’s a fact and Ange took the gamble to do something about getting the trophy monkey off our back like everyone has wanted, including the Ange outlers as much as the Ange inners…and it paid off.
What’s Frank going to do? I’ve been reading things like, he brings youth through, punching above his weight blah blah. I get a strong sense of let’s return to mediocrity and safe plodding to ensure we are 5/6th.
Teams that win things don’t act like they have been assembled to punch above their weight…they are assembled to attack the situation.
The answer to all the above is simple.
Why so ??
Because we have the numbers, and the numbers don't lie.
If people want to know what the numbers show, and therefore
for next season :
1. how the club should be planning
2. irrespective of who the manager and squad is
say so and I will show you.
Looking at which coach takes us to where we want to go, isn't about the coaches' talents, qualities and previous success.
Heaven knows, Conte and Mourinho had that stuff...but, we were the club where all of that counted for nought.
If the club is going to buy Radu Dragusin to play a high defensive line, or keep Ben Davies and Sonny to play inverted attacking FB and touchline hugging winger, Ange is ****ed.
Maybe he could be successful in the PL with his preferred brand of football...but, IMHO, only if the club get fully behind his vision and nobody else's.
The problem is, ENIC (Levy) have NEVER done that. There's always a 'deal' that's too good to turn down, or a player who's 'almost as good', but cheaper.
Whilst that is ongoing, we're better off with younger coaches who will work their bits off to make something of the players they're given.
I think it's reasonable to say that if the plan was to keep him off the back of the cup win, we'd have seen an announcement to that effect by now. There's nothing to be gained by delaying.

I finished the season on the 'sack' side, but specifically said a decision and announcement either way was needed the Monday after the EL win.
Sadly this is all just reinforcement of the clubs continuing failure to manage a significant part of the business.
It's pretty obvious at this stage that Ange only keeps his job if we can't find anyone else to take it, which is a dangerous position to be in as I doubt we'd then back Ange properly in the window, the thinking being that he needs to show he can get much more from the tools already at his disposal.
Or, the media speculation is the usual rubbish from so called ‘in the knows’ and there’s nothing to report as we have a manager under contract for 2 years so why would they do something no club has ever done before and come out and say he’s not being sacked?
Unless the club come out with their statement saying he has been sacked then there’s absolutely no news here.

The season has ended but the hacks will always be looking for any sort of story to get clicks.
Yeah I entirely agree. I hardly think we’d be announcing he’s staying, it might be a story that gets leaked out but not a Communicado Officiale. If he leaves it’s obviously announced.
I do feel like there is something going on, there’s been a couple of rumours about further board changes beyond Donna Cullen leaving, but it’s been crickets in terms of any leaks or real info, apart from Mason and a couple of others heading to WBA.

Levy is notorious for his reluctance to stick his head above the parapet and utter even a single sentence. I can recall countless chairmen voicing support for their manager. Can't recall Levy doing it once.
Ange called him out on this in multiple pressers last season. Made the very reasonable argument that he was expected to manage the team, coach the players and also serve as Executive Club Spokesperson at every turn.
The radio silence from the hierarchy is unacceptable, especially at a time of such uncertainty.
If nothing else, the fans deserve some clarity and direction. Otherwise, pretty much the only time we hear from Uncle Daniel is when he's putting our ticket prices up.
Even something as generic as:
"We were delighted with Ange and the team for winning our first major trophy since the dinosaurs, and to reflect this newfound wave of positivity around the club we look forward to another season under Ange, who will be strengthened to the best of our ability in the summer transfer window."
Would be soooo much appreciated my all fans, even those who - like me - want Ange gone regardless.
Because as we've seen time and again for six years, a club with no manager is infinitely better off than a club with no plan.
