Carrick sacked by Boro. Seems there'll be a lot of new managers in the championship this season.

Just got back from WF. Half way through a game, one of my team suddenly says Stop a minute, Carrick's gone. Gone where? Down the shops, on holiday. Apparently Jeff has his phone in his tracky bottoms with an earpiece, connected to some sports link. No wonder he didn’t react to my fabulous pass to his feet. Loser!

Agree with most of those. Leicester and Coventry isn't on the same level as the top 3 though.
TBH I think Pompey v Saints is easily going to be the best derby in the Championship. Maybe a tad biased, but also because we haven't played each other in the league for so long. The League Cup game, while it was great to give them a hammering on their own turf, lacked the bite and edge to a typical derby game because of the gulf in quality between the sides at the time. The league game at Fratton Park in particular will be ridiculously intense.

The league cup game had plenty of edge to it, especially with it being midweek. If anything I think this one will have less because the bubble takes a lot of that edge away.

I don't think league position matters too much tbh. The cup game in 2010 had plenty of edge too.

Proper buzzing for both games though. Can't wait to find out when they are.

I was skeptical about it at the time but it'd be good to recreate the coach welcome from the play offs for the home game.

Reported contenders for the Middlesbrough manager's job are Rob Edwards, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Robbie Keane. Boro reported to also think Sheff Weds will be too difficult in terms of getting Danny Rohl

Leicester have sold out all their ST's. Be interesting to see how many there are left next week when renewal window shuts.

About to start in la liga very soon. No doubt the PL will then follow suit with the excuse that they don't want to but have to in order to remain competitive. This is worse than VAR for me.

I barely recognise football from the game i watched as a kid in the 2000s, can only imagine how it is for those older than myself. Such a shame.

La Liga already do don't they?
