Sorry guys I have never come on here and criticised one of our players and hope I never will again. But Bart's performance today was totally shocking and I hope I never see him wear a Saints shirt again, god forbid he won't be on the pitch Sunday week. Damning statement I know but the guy looked like he'd never played in goal before, every aspect of his performance was terrible. Forgetting the error for the goal, his whole demeanor, his kicking, everything he did resembled a local park keeper. Never been the same since horrendous injury several years ago, remember season opener against Palace where we lost 4-1 when he was largely culpable.
Ok he hasn't had much game time but he trains every day ffs, there are 2nd string keepers at every foootball league club sat on their bums every week who can come in and do a job.

Fear for us and him if he does happen to play at Fratton!!!

We need to sign a GK. There are so many decent GKs about. So many GKs have had decent, solid displays at St Mary's this season.

On Bialkowski, was anyone else at the game a few seasons ago where he came of his line twice. Once mis-judged, came out when he shouldn't have and the player shot over/round him and another dis-possessed near the corner flag and the player bent it in the net from an acute angle? He definitely made 2 errors. I remember then being like this but I might have the first one slightly wrong. This is the first time I remember seeing him play since then and he has another horror show

I've said before, he was a good goalkeeper. But playing second fiddle for what must be 3 to 4 years now? Has got to him. His confidence has gone to peaces, you can just see he is not mentally right now. He panics way to much, just a shame as he started of a good keeper.

what made things worse was the fact that some absolute morons decided to boo him half way through the game. that's really going to help him gain confidence isn't it

Relieved to see Nigel say "Kelvin was close to being fit today" - certainly suggests that he'll be available for Pompey.

I can't believe I just saw someone say he hopes Bialkowski never pulls a saints shirt again, slight over reaction!

I don't think Bart is the answer as I've said in another thread, at least 5 occasions today when the defence needed to pass back but felt they couldn't and played us into trouble. that said while he's here we need to give him our full support. We are still 3 points clear and after we've stuffed Pompey next week will still be top at xmas.

We do still need Taylor for back up since McCarthy's now due to return to Reading. We only got him on a one-month loan (he was excellent by the way). Suppose you could go for him if Reading want him loaned out again.

That was me!!! Damning statement I know and your right, maybe a slight over reaction. But I can say with hand on heart I hope that lad is not donning a Saints shirt Sunday week. As been stated in other posts he HAS to go out on loan to see if he can keep goal because NOTHING he did today resembled a professional goalkeeper.

Short memories. He was one of the best if not the best GK talent ever. At such a young age he had a fantastic future. Then the injury against Newcastle and he may have lost his touch after being sidelined for soo long. He was okay in our Cup games, so one game he was for some reason very shaky and conceded a howler: it happens! Every club has lost points because of player, every keeper has cost his club at some point. GET OVER IT....otherwise you'll be sounding like Poyet ;-)

I saw a bit of McCarthy last season (including against you guys I think) and I was very impressed with what I saw, so I'd certainly loan him in. Not sure if he, or indeed Reading, would be happy with him coming here and sitting on the bench though (except for when Davis is unavailable).

What is it with our back-up keepers having clangers at home to Blackpool?!! First you, now us.

We can't send him out on loan because we don't have anyone else. There is no way you could trust Forecast. I too hope he doesn't play against Pompey (I don't think he will as Davis should be fit). We deffo need another keeper though.

Bart hasnt played for a long time - he gets VERY LITTLE match time either first team or reserve

Yes, he was pretty shocking today but we know how good he can be - overeaction to say you dont want him to play for us ever again and those who are saying that are morons

for a long time on here posters have been saying bart needs to play - he gets his game and in all truth has blown it.

Hes not played bad deliberately and feel for the guy.

Shows us maybe how we take Kelv for granted. apart from poor distribution sometimes he makes great saves, commands his defence and does the simple things that go unnoticed.

Bart needs to get this out his system and im sure Adkins, Crosby etc will put a big arm round him.

The Pompey game is the next game and its too soon - not only a local derby but also televised live on bbc1 with millions watching.

Richard Wright on loan if Kelv not fit, but then what message does that send to Bart - dent his confidence further?

I'm sure Richard Wright is currently injured himself. And besides, the loan window is shut now so no chance of getting him (or anyone) in during the week.
