Yup, there are articles doing the rounds pointing out that it is effectively Farage setting policy, and Labour fumbling around trying to work out how to react, because despite having 14 years to prepare, they have no clear plan, policies or principles.

It's a **** way for a Country to be run.
We need to address the main problem. Then once we have cleared out the filth, we can worry about NHS waiting list times and whether train drivers should be on more money than stock brokers.

My basic principle is to back those offering the least government and bureaucratic involvement.

Joel Le Scouarnec, the former surgeon who has admitted sexually abusing hundreds of patients, mostly children, between 1989 and 2014 has been sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Le Scouarnec was dressed in black as he stood emotionless in court listening to the judge Aude Burési deliver the verdict. He had admitted the charges in March.

Judge Burési said the court had taken into account the fact that the former surgeon had especially sought out unwell, vulnerable and sedated victims.

Le Scouarnec, 74, has been dubbed France's most prolific *****phile. He is already in jail after being sentenced in 2020 to 15 years for raping and sexually assaulting four children, including two of his nieces.

"Twenty years is little compared to the number of victims in this trial. It is time for the law to change so we can have more appropriate sentences," said Francesca Satta, a lawyer for some of the victims.

The former doctor has been on trial in Brittany since late February.

During that time dozens of his victims have testified, telling the court how the abuse they sustained as children shaped their lives.
