I know it’s easy to say in hindsight but I would much rather have had him than Werner or Tel
There's been plenty of talk of him being a bit of a dickhead behind the scenes, which is a large part of why his return to Hajduk Split lasted barely a few weeks, so I can see why Ange would not be keen to have him around

A shame, him coming off the bench to aim crosses to Richy was a viable Plan B last season

It's a shame that he was wasted for us when he was fit. Playing him as a left-back was stupid.

When Conte signed him, my hope was that he would
be guaranteed CL starting XI, and used sparingly in
the PL, playing the position where he fits best. ***

Did not happen. Under Conte or Ange. :(

*** This was also my rationale for wanting to
sign Bale during summer 2022.

He played LWB for Inter the previous season or two, I think the problem for us was that our CBs were often so unreliable that we ended up expecting both our WBs to do more defending than they would’ve liked and it’s fair to say Perisic couldn’t defend for ****. Still glad to say I got to see him in our shirt though, he’d been one of my favourite non-Spurs players for the best part of a decade… as some might have realised <laugh>

Just like Bale…

One. Last. Dance.

Don’t care if he’s 77 years old, still one of the best players (if not the best) I’ve seen in our shirt.

Poor guy’s hamstrings would probably snap in pre-season for us though, let alone after a few games.

Fantastic footballer but a complete nob of a man...no thanks

Rather harsh on Mourinho, as he's quite decent towards both finalists in his overall comments.
Has some kind words for Amorim, for obvious reasons, and shows some love to Son, as everyone has.
Wouldn't be a Mourinho interview without talking himself up, of course.
Quite the coincidence that he's managed 4 of the 6 European finalists this year, though.
