I suspect he had to adapt his style to suit Chelsea group - something he wasn't prepared to do had he stayed with us (hence the parting). If it isn't effect (v's affect) then it's adopt (v's adapt) If only we had a teacher posting on here night and day who could contribute something useful for a change
Of the targets mentioned Mowbray based on the fact he’s got teams promoted and is good with young players and plays a decent way. West Brom didn’t work out last time but most managers will have negatives on their cv O’Neil Plymouth man as I don’t want any Turkish reject like the ex Cardiff boss
I mean, in fairness, I can’t imagine we’ll be appointing one that hasn’t been 18. That’s kind of how these things work. Whether he was a son of a gun may be a different matter.
Muslic now 1/2 favourite. Don't normally see such an odds-on favourite unless there is something in it. I don't have any particular objection. He took over at Plymouth and improved them, giving them a chance to avoid relegation. However, the irony is, if Acun was Plymouth owner, he would have sacked him!
As he is returning to be near his ill wife who lives in Southampton I don’t think we will be his first choice.
He made a point in the RH interview of saying the target wasn't to avoid relegation! So he could justify Muslic maybe?
None of the candidates who've been touted so far are clear standouts, we quite possibly couldn't attract a top candidate who would keep everyone happy. I'm beginning to think we might be better off taking someone who shows promise just to get someone through the door early, for a change.
That appointment would take mental footballing decisions to a new height. Depth? Plateau? You know what I mean.
Acun can’t win. He listens to the fans and doesn’t employ a Turkish racist and now we’re objecting to an English one.
This one intrigues me. , I’ve read his Wiki page and I Still don’t get quite how he got into pro management , almost reads that he just convinced someone to give him a go
