You can only play with the hand you’re dealt and Martin went all in with just a pair when everyone else had a better hand.

accepted that much they sacked two managers in the process.I think the narrative that promoted teams like Southampton are failing due to playing out from the back is way over the top. They changed their manager and started playing off the big man up top and they've been even worse, yet still everywhere you look pundits are going on about Martin making them play out from the back. There was an Athletic article a few weeks ago about how they basically gave up on the season in the summer having accepted that their squad was nowhere near the level required. But no one wants to consider that when you can just blame it on a manager and rail against modern football.
Adebayo did his ACL didn’t he

I thought he came back? Did he get injured before the end of the season? If so, I'd take Carlton Morris instead.
It's the first wash. After thirty odd years that's not so bad.

Martin had 5 points from 16 games. If the new bloke is worse it must by the slightest margin.
Also, it wasn’t only the pundits. Their fans were pulling their hair out when week after week they’d absolutely gifted opposing teams at least one goal head start.
All from titting about at the back.
I’m not a PL manager but even I know that’s not a good thing.
His stubbornness and misguided philosophy could see them go down as THE worst team in PL history.
Well done Russell.

Adebayo is out with an ACL.Bundu is one we're keen on, Aasgaard would also be good and we've got Hughes here too which might help.
Ryan Hardie has to be a no brainer for a club like ours, he's gotta have a release clause so we'd be mad not to try.
Luton, Adebayo would be my pick, but only if the price is right. Had a bit of a goal drought this season. Chong is also a quality player on his day, but if we get Zambrano I can't see us needing him. McGuinness would also be great but Luton paid a lot for him in the Summer, doubt we could afford what they're asking.
Cardiff, Alex Robertson I'd definitely take if he's going (though like with Chong, only if we don't get Zambrano). Salech did well in a crap team, ditto Perry Ng (depends on whether we want another right back though I guess).
Every year. Every year we have this
I'm pretty sure that by now he's just making a point of not signing for us.
Seems to be a story by Nixon on us tomorrow.
I'm sure he'll be flooded with offers.Wouldn't be the worst idea to look at Noah Botic as a second or third striker.
