Not the point at all ... he was one of a number of great players United have had over a rich history of success ... he did not put them on the map in the same way that Vardy did with us ... they were already the most famous English club in the world ...

They hadn't had any success for decades until they bought Cantona.

They weren't the most famous club in England at all, Liverpool and Everton had ruled football through the 80s. And then Arsenal took over in the early 90s.

Cantona was obviously their catalyst to them becoming the force they became. Just quit now, you ain't gonna succeed with this.

<doh> .. you think Everton were more famous around the world than Machester United ?... oh dear ... really nothing more to say .

Manchester United have always been the most famous English club ... sorry to be the one to break it to you ...<laugh>

Premier League mate .. only been 7 ... Liverpool were the 7th ... you'd have thought they could have won it sooner, given that Citeh and Chelsea threw similar amounts of money at it ... and look how many times they managed it ... guess they just spent better ....both on players ... and managers <laugh>
