Might have something to do with screen install/uninstall
times + home game at WHL 4 days later.
That's exactly what it is.
"Please note, unlike in 2019, additional screens will not be placed on the pitch due to our home match with Brighton the following Sunday."

Ockhams' razor FTW. :)

Anyone remember if the grass pitch was retracted
when the big screens were used in 2019 ??

We didn't have any matches after that to worry about

Though truth be told, I'm sure there's some legalese somewhere saying that retracting the pitch makes it a concert/event instead of a match and all the faff that goes with getting licenses for that

Do you guys know why we're playing each other in pre-season? I get that it's an opportunity for fans globally to watch a high profile game that they may not usually be able to go to, but FFS. I'm never a fan of playing rivals in pre-season. Players certainly don't see it as a friendly and the risk of injury and clashes are more likely in these games.

UEFA have announced the match officials for the Europa League final and the ref was banned for match fixing:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2rlkzmemgo
Jude Bellingham was banned for pointing it out after a game against Bayern.

Felix Zwayer has reffed us twice in previous years and we didn't win either game.
Our 4-2 home loss to Barca at Wembley in 2018 and our 1-1 draw in Florence in 2016.
I'll leave judgement of those ties to others... <whistle>

United have played 4 matches with him as ref won 2 drawn 2!

Apologies if it was posted elsewhere as I’ve not seen it, but Bergvall completed a clean sweep of our POTY awards. Sonny picked up our GOTY for his one against Utd in the cup.

Whilst I won’t say Bergvall isn’t a worthy winner because he’s been one of the few bright spots in a dismal (so far) season, I do feel like the voting has had some recency bias as Kulu essentially carried the team in the first two thirds of the season whereas Bergvall began shining in the second half of it.

I was half hoping Alfie Whiteman would win it, there was a campaign on Twitter to get everyone to vote for him, would love to see the polling figures to see if he had genuine traction!

Personally I want to see the number of season tickets which freed up when people who voted for him suddenly found they couldn't get a renewal...

Paratici is apparently soon to be confirmed as our DoF (again).

His return increases our top level football knowledge exponentially.

It is to be hoped that he and Venkatesham are left alone to right the wrongs of the last 7 or so years.

Levy should be NOWHERE near ANY footballing decisions. His recent input on
that front has destroyed nearly two decades of progress.

We've employed better qualified and properly experienced people. Stump up some funds and let them get on with fixing your **** ups, unhindered, Daniel.

You'd think that, but news immediately after this is that we are now considering Francesco Farioli to replace Ange.

You know, the young Italian manager whose Ajax side just thew away a 9-point lead with 5 games to go and bottled the title to PSV?

On second thoughts, he'd fit right in here.
