Aye, we will find out soon enough if RLB has pulled off a blinder and made the most of the last few games. Just a shame that nobody has really taken their chances with the squad rotation.

If anything it shows we would need quite a few reinforcements if we get promoted.

 

Pompey want to make Adil's transfer perm in the summer, possibly 2-5m there.

 

Their side reckons more like 1, interesting to see.

Aye I was just saying they don't seem to want to pay more than £1m, pretty stingy with fees and most of their signings are either installments and incentives.

 

I don't disagree that he's clearly a great manager and would be good here if RLB left. That said, I'd like to see him achieve promotion with a team that doesn't have parachute payments. I think all 3 of his promotions have been with a team that just got relegated.

Still some achievement. But getting promoted with parachute payments always includes an asterisk for me. Even Russell Martin managed that

Probably. Still only 22 and played over here for a couple of seasons now. Decent potential if he could settle at a mid table side

 

I like Ekwah and there is the potential for an excellent player in there. But his time with us has gone and that's a good fee for him. Hopefully it works out for everyone.

If we don't go up, we've got a big job to replace our midfield as there's every chance we lose 4 of them. I'd expect Triantis, Aleksic, Browne and Jones to be 4 of our central midfield options in that scenario with money spent on 2 core upgrades.

 

Looks like the kind of profile for a Bundesliga team rather than a Championship club.

 

Was Celtic interested in January, only wanted 10 million quid - was very doable at the time but I think he'd be harder to bring in now.

 

Whatever the plan is we need to make sure the recruitment is focused on ready made players who can add to the squad from day one.

 

we defo need a few but if we are in the PL you can get a better calibre of young talent who can also add to the team from day one

 

No surprise to see he’s injured like. He’s another we’ve signed in recent years who misses plenty of games
