We can win against both if we play well. We've beaten Arsenal three times already this season, without conceding a goal, so no call for defeatism.

We've also lost to Brighton twice so it means very little. It's crunch time and imo we'll lose the two away games. Maybe we won't, but I also doubt we'll win all 3 home games because the heat is on.

Here’s a thought - why not rotate a few ****ing players?!

They did after 60 mins vs man united and Palace. It's become such a cop out blaming fatigue these days.

Did fatigue stop anyone maybe trying to address the issue on the right? Was Barnes really the answer to that?

I accept there's probably some tired legs and the situation is still not looking too bad, but this wasn't all down to fatigue..

I don't think they could have started a different side, but that issue on the right was just ignored and my jaw dropped wondering when the **** they would even try do something about it.

Unfortunately it was too late and the solution was to move Barnes there, which unsurprisingly made matters much worse.

Oh well we move on and hope for the best
...if we'd lost to Palace and won today we'd all be delighted now and we'd have the same number of points.

The players who came on didn't help at all.
What good did any of our subs do?

Villa were better on the day. We can now rest and regroup.
It's proof that three games in a week does give the team problems that we've not really had this season, but we must find ways to overcome if we want to do well in Europe next season.

Yeah, we need to buy at least 7 players to, at a minimum, replace first team players who drop to the bench and people already on the bench.

Meh in hindsight there’s nothing to be done. Better squad bested us, but we’ve had Villa far more times recently than they’ve had us.

We still sit in the box seat.

We've won 18 and lost 10 premier league games, which tells me my eyes aren't wrong when things don't go to plan. When things aren't going well they simply don't react and don't even try to fix things in those games. Perhaps it's really not possible because all our players on the bench are ****, but I don't thing so. It's a cop out to suggest nothing can be done and that's why we lose games. Shuffle things around change something, swap full backs, double up on a player, put 5 at the back and midfield.

When something is a glaringly obvious issue they should try to address it.

It's absolutely true that we're in a good position and huge credit for that, but there's litterally no in game management taking place based on what's happening on the pitch.. It's all pre planned eyes on the next game stuff.
