Terrible performance. First of all we did nothing in the first half at all. The decision to sub McLaughlin was about the only decision Selles got right all day. But why didn't he pick a full back to play there in the first place?
Second half, slow start again and a stinker of a decision for the penalty. Egan knew it wasn't a penalty, the whole of City's team must have known too, so why didn't they harass the ref and the linesman? Why did captain Coyle wave Egan away from protesting, why wasn't Coyle in the referee's face?
Might not have made a blind bit of difference either, but now we will never know.
It takes some doing to go missing for a full 90 minutes plus injury time, not touch the ball, not win a header, not have a shot at goal and keep on the pitch without being subbed when playing as a 'centre forward' but Pedro managed it again today. Selles must have a very low opinion of Joseph when he cannot even get any minutes at all in a forward line that never shoots.
Not impressed at all with the manager, his team selections or his tactics if we have any, plus his half time team talks must be inspirational.
We are in deep **** and its all self inflicted.

Unlucky in the sense it wasn’t a penalty, but felt it was only a matter of time before we conceded. Pretty woeful yet again I’m afraid. Worrying thing is the players we’d expect to see us through all look to be out of form and devoid of any confidence, ie Pedro, Geldhard, Crooks.
Still think one win will be enough, but not sure where it’s coming from.

Can anyone tell me what Sellés’ style of play is?
Walter’s was all about possession with unorthodox rotations and movement.
Rosenior’s was all about possession, even if most of that possession was in our own third.
What is Sellés’ style of play? Is it possession-based, counter-attacking, long ball, patient and methodical or quick and direct? I’ve watched every game this season either in person or on TV and I honestly couldn’t tell you what style of football Sellés is trying to implement here.

As down as I am on our recent performances, assuming the injured players come back, I think we're only a pair of new fullbacks and probably a striker away from being very competitive.
Coyle waves Egan away to stop him getting in more trouble. I think he lacks some qualities as a captain but that's good captaincy.

Feel like I've seen that outcome loads of times in recent years - away game in which we're second best but not looking like conceding, decided by a harsh (or in this case outright wrong) penalty given against us, which reeks of home advantage.
The really annoying thing is that it never seems to work the other way for us. When a defender blocks our shot with his hand at our stadium, he gets the benefit of the doubt as it's not 100% clear when viewed quickly, and a penalty is a big call to give. There's no sign of home advantage then.

Which we will no doubt bottle when we play them.
It's the manner of the defeats and the way selles is setting us up and his strange starting 11 at times.
We have injuries and a serious lack of quality but so do other teams.
It's no good just sitting back in every game, just have a bloody go because as soon as we go 1 down we are in deep trouble.
Swansea just sat back and we didn't have a clue.
Yes the penalty should never have been given but **** happens. Sheff utd away nothing wrong with their equaliser but it worked in our favour that day and we looked up for it, sadly for whatever reason we haven't in our last 5 or 6 games.
I dislike lots of things about VAR, but we were ****ed by a bad ref today
