Now we all know Carroll wanted a new deal and MA said no since he had just signed in October. It's reported he wanted £50k a week.

Tiote then gets a new contract worth £50k a week, 6 months after signing.

Don't get me wrong I still blame Carroll, but it's weird how MA works.

Or is it just a case of Tiote gets what he wants?
 
Chiek didn't say 'I want 50k'...Chiek looked into Ashleys eyes and said 'You will give me 50k'. End of conversation.

You should know by now - Chiek Tiote doesn't enter into negotiations - he just decides outcomes
 
Maybe its just that Ashleys offer and Tiotes expectations met somewhere in the middle and a contract was signed, which was not the case with Carroll? Anything else is pure speculation, nothing has been disclosed regarding figures in either deal, or are we still looking for excuses as to why Carroll ****ed off without blaming greed on his part?

haha he didnt even knock on MA's door he just turned around and tiote was there using the force
 
No one here knows how much Carroll wanted or what really went on, its easy to blame MA but no one actually knows the truth.
 
Nobody knows, it's ridiculous to assume ''x'' earns this amount of money and ''x'' earns this amount of money.

Unless your involved personally with the club then any opinion on here is worthless, including mine.

Weather he's on 50k or 40k a week, he's still earning a big amount of money for what he does.
 
Apparently, Judas heard that Liverpoo wanted to give him 80k. He wanted something close to that to stay, Ashley (rightly in my opinion) said bugger off, I just gave you a new contract, and little judas cried and handed in a transfer request.
 
MA had a dream that he said no to Tioté when he asked for a new contract, and the consequences were unspeakable. When he awoke, he realised that making Tioté angry even in a dream was a mistake, and offered him a new contract immediately.
 
Tiote signing this deal makes it more believable that Carroll is a greedy little **** who wanted out.
 
Pardew stated that Fat Mike "wanted to make a statement to the fans" AFTER the Carroll transfer was worrying some people of what our aspirations were.

To me it's made the statement to the affect of, We really do want to keep him and this is the only way to keep hold of him OR get another ridiculous transfer fee for one of our best players.

Also could have been due to Season Ticket renewals being unexpectedly slow and/or to convince Enrique to sign to a similar deal for the above reasons...?!?!

We shall see in the summer2011/jan2012
