Very sad if it's the true reason why Speed took his own life, but if it's someone mischief making then you'd hope an apology would be made to his wife and family who will be going through a tough time as it is.

If it was someone you'd never met and he was unaware that she was married then I agree it's absolutely not his fault. If it's someone that knows you are married and even more to the point is a someone you consider a friend then it becomes a different matter entirely.
