What hope does a newly promoted team have of staying in the PL if they arent allowed to invest heavily in the team?
Then they get thrown back into the EFL with parachute payments, which make them too good for the championship, yet not good enough for the PL.
Thats why we keep getting the same half a dozen clubs yo-yoing up and down, West Brom, Leicester, Watford, Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds.
Occasionally you get a Luton or an Ipswich sneak in there, but for the most part its the same clubs coming up and down.

You missed Norwich off that list who I thought played the yo-yo game best of all. Parachute payments are unfair and should be stopped, why should teams be bailed out for their own failings, I'd say it even encourages failure, Leicester being an example.

Oh for sure they were the Yo Yo Kings, the primest example.
I only left them out because its been 3 years now I think, since they were in the PL.
Their Yo Yo days seem to be coming to an end.

The teams you listed have sussed them out and got better at it than them.

Well if you class winning the top two trophies in English football in the last decade as failure, I guess so ... <laugh> but only Citeh, Chelsea and Liverpool* can match it ...<whistle>

We are to blame in many ways ... winning the league in 2015/16 and thereby Champions League pushed a few noses out and actually caused panic - hence the I'll judged "let's join a European Super League where upstarts can't gatecrash the money spinning party" ... that fell through... so guess what ... we need something financial to constrain the upstarts... certainly worked on us - instead of pushing on after two top 5 finishes our billionaire owners found themselves hamstrung by limits that are way below their annual spend on thoroughbred race horses...

I'm not talking about when you won a trophy, I'm chatting about the decline of Leicester since your owner died. It's clear they are no longer interested in what was no more than a childs toy. Your past owner will be spinning in his grave at what has happened, and watching you against the Toon, highlighted how low the mighty have fallen. Relying on parachute payments to keep you a float. A manager that don't care, players that don't care and owners who are probably ready to get rid, but will continue to mug off the Prem and EFL for whatever finances are left to suck out of them. You should have gone bankrupt instead of selling shares, it would have been less painful to watch.

I think you’ve over egged Leicester’s importance in the football pyramid mate.

Financial regulations came in 4 years before you won the league.

Would have thought you'd have known that based on you failing them when you won the championship.

A lot of reasoning there, the reason it all went to **** after you won the league was cos Chelsea triggered Kante's clause and took your best player and your whole team was built around him.
