Secondly, we still have the same lawyers that ran rings around the PL ... and the chances of the EFL having better lawyers than the PL are miniscule...
Thirdly, we will no doubt cash in on Hermandsen and El Khanouss which will likely generate a £40 million+ surplus ...
A good number of the higher paid players are coming to the end of contracts...
We will also not have to sell either our Ladies team nor our Seagrave Teaining centre to ourselves ...

Lets just wait and see.
My understanding is the charges are going to be for things that have already happened, and nothing you do going forward will change that.
But far be it from me to play the accountant, lets just see.
So last season then? - because they have no jurisdiction or legal precedent over our time in the PL - the other side of the Catch-22 card we played so effectively against the PL charges ... so good luck to them ...
Sure we've pissed both leagues off by dancing rings around their poorly drafted rules ... but the bigger focus and challenge for them must surely be directed towards clubs that can only comply with the rules by selling their own assets... to themselves ...
As I've mentioned several times - the only reason that the PL won't accept real 'sustainability' in the form of a cashable bond / financial derivative guarantee from billionaire owners, rather than the convoluted rules currently in place, is because that would give free reign for real and sustained competition to those clubs who were so in favour of a cash-cow break away European League ... the Holy Grail of the money men ...
They'd have to find new grounds for one because the old one formally ended on our promotion to the Premier League ... and will be difficult to apply one before a ball is kicked - as it would have to be based on the economics of a season in the PL ... where they have no jurisdiction....

Given how cheap their wage bill would have been before that I doubt they can be accused of anything resembling cheating. Probably sell Delap for £40m+ and be fine even if they are marginally below the line.
I sincerely hope that Newcastle, Forest, Villa and Brighton don't get accused of cheating either ... but they'll likely all fail the anti-competition PSR rules by the end of next season ...

Then they get thrown back into the EFL with parachute payments, which make them too good for the championship, yet not good enough for the PL.
Thats why we keep getting the same half a dozen clubs yo-yoing up and down, West Brom, Leicester, Watford, Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds.
Occasionally you get a Luton or an Ipswich sneak in there, but for the most part its the same clubs coming up and down.
Then they get thrown back into the EFL with parachute payments, which make them too good for the championship, yet not good enough for the PL.
