Had some really good pics of all the memorabilia left by people from teams all around the country and abroad.

Lost them all in a computer crash. :-(

There's a US site that does old shirts. I managed to get on old NY Cosmos shirt from the early 80s but they do European clubs. Can't recall the name but perhaps a US search can find it.

For those asking the 'what year was this' questions, this website is fantastic:

    http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/

Its also great as a checklist of got that one, got that one, got that one...

Never mind the quality, feel the width.

Can't say any of the tops are known for quality, it's just a case of having the team colours. I thought I'd just like to have one to make a change from wearing the new one every week.

Have you tried going into any vintage clothing shops in Newcastle and outlying areas?
I never really went into these kind of shops before Uni so dunno where they are back home, but with a high student population, there'll definitely be one or two shops knocking about.
They're generally good with old footy tops, the ones in Leeds seem to be stocked with their old kits.
Failing that I'd go look round the charity shops as a last resort.
Just a thought, I know it's more legwork for you than browsing the web!

I live in Manchester at the minute and have been browsing the shops. I found the 98/99 blue away shirt twice, one was really small and one was really big. Considered buying just for the sake of it, but I already have the entire kit from when I was a kid. Fantastic kit by the way, I absolutely adored it.

There's a shop that sells retro football shirts I've been thinking about going in and seeing if he can possibly get one ordered from somewhere.

I've a signed, framed Shearer shirt from the last season we played in Europe. Basically my pride and glory...

    Just a bit jealous!

I emailed Classic Football Shirts about the possibility of them having a smaller size in stock and they replied (fairly quickly I might add, which I was impressed with) saying that they should be getting some in stock 'fairly soon' and to check the site again shortly. Time will tell.
