Who has even decided that anyway. If Trump passes due to ill health the succession crisis will be a bloodbath. Perhaps not the literally kind like we’ve seen in our own and European history with monarchies but it won’t be pretty. Only peaceful intra-Republican transfer of power would be if Trump is still alive and steps down and hand picks a successor. But that doesn’t seem massively likely at the moment
But if Vance is still the vice president then it automatically passes to him to be the leader

Most of the tech companies in the US also have research bases around the globe. More importantly where do they get their products made. For example iPhones and Mac’s are not made in the states they are made in China, Korea and other countries where the labour is much cheaper. Thats why the tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, AMD, Nvidia, ARM and Intel have plummeted the most
Major US banks (as well as most others globally) have significant investments outside their domestic market that rely on these countries having strong manufacturing and economy. If Banks make less money then there is less available to the domestic market in the forms of loans etc to fuel growth.

Moreover, in the short term there is less money coming into the banks domestically and previous medium risk domestic investments may turn risky or toxic.

I’m starting to think that the Trump administration is basing its policies and beliefs on novels I am reading, collaborations by the two same authors.
In a previous book, the story had the USA showing a very strong interest in the minerals and fossil fuels under Greenland.
In the one I am currently reading there is a conversation between two political figures in which the following statement is made “The key is America’s relationship with Russia. After all, who is the real enemy of the USA? Russia? Not so! It is the European Union.”
The books were written in 2021 and 2022.

I’m beginning to think that Trump’s policies are based on what Bob from the pub said on twitter to be fair.

BBC reporting that the tariffs are very popular in Trump supporting states and that people are prepared to accept a short term . I alot of the supporters do not see Trump doing anything other than what is necessary.

It appears to be a disaster when taken frim.a perception ourside Europe and , it is works , it will be pure genius. I have to say that i so not think it will be a success. Trade wil continue with or without the US. I feel the EU will hit back against their services industry and that some sectors of the American economy who rely on imports for parts or American companies manufacturing overseas will combine to undermine Trump.

It seems unbelievable, but only the other day I read a story about a government that formed it's policies from something they'd seen on Netflix.

They will accept it, until they feel it.

What are they called?

Yep. Trump seems to be alluding to short term of pain. How long is that short term?
How long will it take for US manufacturing base to ramp up to make things that they currently rely on places like China to make. I don’t think the short term will be that short. I hope his voters feel the pain for as long as it takes to get rid of the orange one and his cronies
