Re; Pedro....Only got himself to blame...That challenge was asking for a red card....Hope he gets the goal that keeps us up...vis-a-vis Deano at Cardiff.

Hull is one of the rare stadiums

Hull fans showed up and impressed me.
Regardless of the result, I have left the ground with nothing but positive things. I hope you stay up (unless it's at our expense).
I didn't know Rovers were playing at home today. BTW Rovers can't get relegated.

That's Hull City..Not saying I told you so, but with our history its always bound to happen....Now that the dust has settled there are so many questions to ask....Why on earth play Joseph? His confident must be lower than a snakes belly..Why put Geldhart on the wing? He's far more effective playing a central role, i.e. both his goals vs Plymouth and Oxford have come when he's in the six yard box...not on the fecking wing. Surely Burstow and Slater would have been better subs than Crooks and Lincoln...Why take off Puerta when he's a creative player?

Hate to say it, but the result of losing to Luton could have a very bad knock on effect for the remaining games...Hope we survive. Clutching at straws...

It could also have a good knock on effect for the rest of the season. A kick up the arse that despite a few good results previously and many saying we're too good to go down we have to actually perform on the pitch and win games they aren't just going to be handed to us.

Good to see you, your son, Ric Glasgow*, Tickton Tiger and others today.

* Arriving on the train today at just after11 am, and leaving at 16-50 am, deserved a far better performance from City.

Yes, Ric deserved better than that. Was good to see Gav out and about again.
Proper pub, Sandringham.

The way the players trooped off with their heads down on their chests I'd say an arse kicking session is the last thing they want. I thought Selles got it badly wrong today in terms of line-up and subs, but we aren't exactly over stuffed with talent.

Well, shades of the Cardiff game, never looked like scoring, even though had the lions share of possession. Certainly the best we could have done was a 0-0 draw, which is what the game looked like being, until the freakish own goal.

Without Pedro we look toothless up front, Joseph works hard but as yet doesn't look like a prolific striker in the making. Gelhardt should have been up the middle from the start, even though he did look the most likely to do something even from the wings.

Generally a poor showing all round, all eyes on Derby on Wednesday night, we certainly need to up our game again to stand a chance of surviving in this league.

overstuffed with talent? We don’t have any, we need to do what Fc have and completely rebuild

I’m not sure I understand why everyone is complaining that Joseph doesn’t look like a prolific goalscorer at this level: everything we were told about him before he signed highlighted his lack of goals. Even Bruce said it was his movement that was his strength, not his goals. He was never going to score loads – especially so soon after making the step up.

It doesn’t help that we keep playing him on his own or out of position. I think there’s a player there, but he needs to be playing alongside another striker.

I agree. As I said the following....'but we aren't exactly over stuffed with talent.' We do have a couple of talented players, but not enough...If we do stay up, going to need a big rebuild yes...Not sure if the owner's got it in him.

Joseph started well, he looked up to it in his first few appearances. He’s just had his confidence coached out of him same as all our other players. Wouldn’t write him off yet, he’s got everything to make it, physical and technical ability.

Does anybody know what we actually do during international breaks ?

If players went away for a few days maybe they should have actually been working on things
at the training ground because that performance was absolute ****

Most annoying game for a long time.

This was always a hazardous game. The talk all week of us having sorted out our home form was ridiculous. We won two games, against crap teams. We've achieved nothing and our home form was still ****e even before another defeat today. Again we looked overconfident on the pitch. We didn't match their intensity. First few minutes Puerta put three long throws into good areas but no one competed with their defenders who headed them clear easily.

We barely won a header in the game. I said at half time how Hughes was being bullied by Morris and then that immediately cost us for the goal. Morris easily won the header and caused the problem. Obviously it's a freak bounce but it didn't come out of nowhere, it came from a bad situation we got into by being beaten in the air close to our goal. Hughes gets a lot of plaudits but he has a lot of shaky moments and I thought he was pretty terrible on the whole today.

Morris finally met his match when Crooks came on and clattered him. He seemed annoyed he wasn't the biggest guy on the pitch any more. In hindsight it seems daft to have left Crooks out from the start for this one. It was annoying how easily Morris won everything until then. I get that he's a big guy but ffs, someone compete.

Our quality on the ball was ****e too. So many passes off the pitch in the first half. So many balls overhit through to the keeper in the second. Never seen a keeper gather so many simple balls yet not make a meaningful save, apart from the Hughes one late on.
Most of those passes were from Jones and over hot ones by Hughes on a windy day .

Crooks just doesn’t have the legs to last a full half, let alone 90 minutes. I’m confused as to why he still looks so unfit after several months here. Palmer is a luxury player and a luxury we can’t afford. I’ve been critical of him but I think today would’ve been a good game for Slater to be involved, if only we had some more height and physicality in midfield elsewhere.

This is an insane take on Palmer when he’s been the reason we beat Oxford and got a point at WBA

Joseph may very well turn out to be a good championship target man, if he’s given a season or two.

The issue is we needed to sign someone who could come in and help us now.

Likewise Burstow; signed at great expense with an eye on the future.

The potential of both of them is there to see in flashes but if we fall down a league it's all going to turn to ****.
