A grandmother celebrating her children blowing themsevles up and can't wait for her grandkids to do the same.
Yeh I'd say it's pretty sick to think that way
I'd say it's more sick the people that blew them up.

You just thought you were gonna get it easy with your pro-Israeli essays![]()

I use to think he was quite knowledgable in the topic of the Middle East, I've realised over time he just chats **** and most of it is a look at me - so I tend to ignore the spanner now...he's like a Spurs version of Treble.
I like reading Spurlys and BWoods take on things, I don't think you have to agree with people to take an interest in their comments, it helps put things into perspective lots of small nuggets of views. Probably my favourite two posters on here.
You come across as reasonably knowlegable but sometimes I think you are just copying bits from some outback media, with Corbyn as it's editor in chief. You are just a bit too extreme for me, fair enough if you are muslim, jewish, palestinian, gazan or Israeli, I'd expect it, but from Cornwall, nah lol.
I've learned stuff anyway but I still don't know the answer to the problem, these two sides quite clearly cannot live in peace, and never will, so I've sort of got to the stage where my brain thinks, one side has to move, I mean quite literally move, but that would cause a war in itself.
So i'm like shut up brb, keep out of it ffs.![]()
But yeah I admit I'm definitely pro Palestinian and anti Israeli Govt (This current Govt anyway)China wants to send peacekeepers to Ukraine... I guess they have as much right as Europe (they were nominally neutral in this while the EU was obviously backing Ukraine)... but as suspicious as I am that the US, Russia, and China want to join up to divide the world between themselves, makes me a little nervous. The sooner India, and the EU can grow to stronger military powers so power isn't controlled by the three dictator-states the better. Diversify power in the world.

I think CK and Pinkie are both extremely biased to their own sides of the argument and since this thread kicked off neither has moved an inch from their original position.
CK glosses over most things involving Israel.
Pinkie glosses over most things involving Hamas.
India ffs
They will cause even more wars.
I don't think you can ever get everyone to agree on the Israel/Palestine conflict. There's enough dirt to throw on both sides that you can bury anyone a mile deep. At the same time, you can kind-of justify both sides. I mean Palestinians want their freedoms, and Israel are scared of being wiped out of existence... both mindsets can be used to justify all sorts of atrocities. (most of the terrorists in the region were Jewish prior to the formation of Israel, doing the equivalent of the day to what Hamas is doing now). Desperate people do evil things.
The only way this ends imo is with Palestinians being given freedom and Israel feeling safe. It's why I've always felt the best compromise is a free and independent Palestine- but Palestine paying a UN agreed fair-fee (which will probably be paid for by Western nations anyway) for Israel providing (UN monitored) policing and military protection within Palestine. Other than that, Palestine sets its own laws and policies with free elections. Policing would have to be done to Palestinian laws and standards but with no way for Hamas or extremist groups to easily arm or threaten Israel. With a relatively free Palestine there would be less call or funding for Hamas anyway (at least internally). Have a long-term timeline for Palestinian complete independence, first losing the Israeli police once things are settled... and as relations slowly improve over time Palestine is made completely free.

I'm biased because Iived and worked in Israel for almost a decade and still have multiple involvements there, all with political non-prof stuff, so yeah I'm fully open to that.
I hope I provide some perspective of the 'other side' of the debate.
In terms of glossing over things...I dispute that. I'm hugely critical of Netanyahu, settlement expansion, check points, restricted visiting hours to holy sites, detention without trial and more.
So I don't think I'm blindly pro-Israel. I think it's just that over time and through the influence of social media, a battle Israel is always going to lose because it and its supporters are outnumbered 100:1, the default 'norm' on the street is that absolutely everything Israel does is the handiwork of the devil.
So yeah, stacked up against fashionable public opinion, I probably come across as an extremist but even by the examples I mentioned above, in Israel itself I'm considered centre-left.
Honestly I was more just reacting to Pinkie suggesting he wasn't biased and brb not responding to it.
Pinkie compared the Hamas hostage handover to IRA people standing around with balaclavas and in a previous life suggested Hamas were open to tourism and were big in water sports.

Have India ever started a war? I know they've fought China and Pakistan at various times, but as I understand it, were they not the defensive party each time? Pakistan always thought Kashmir should belong to them because it's muslim majority and attacked a few times.
Lol. No you made the comparison with the IRA, about how outraged the British would have been if the IRA had been posturing and parading weapons during the ceasefire talks.
And the thing is, that they were. And yet the ceasefire negotiations still continued.
As for the water park bro, Trump's gonna get that done![]()

West Bank Disneyland. I'd take my kids there! (who am I kidding, I won't even go to the one in Orlando)
I don't think nightly fireworks would be a good idea at the Palestinian Disneyland though.

So you know they fought China and Pakistan at various times, and you want them to grow stronger and more powerful, so it's a race to the top then. The human race is a bunch ****s and wanting more and more power and more and more weapons, is not going to resolve anything, least of all the lunatics over in India...weren't it over there they stripped naked and beat women in the street...just another bunch of cavemen.
