Very mixed results with disastrous late goals at Oxford (against 10 men) and Plymouth.

Derby win 3 in a week to catapult up the league. It’s incredibly tight but still in our hands.

Amazingly, we're only 5 points behind the Jacks with 8 still to play. I see their remaining four home games at the Rustbucket Stadium are all against fellow strugglers Derby, Plymouth, Hull and Oxford.

Next game for them though is up at Leeds and their following away game after that is at Sunderland. Also got QPR and Millwall away as well. Now I'm not looking for any favours mind, but they might need to do themselves one or two as well.........<whistle>

Ramsey out again until the end of the season. Absolute awful player management. I’ve said before that he’s a sick note and yet they patch him up to fail again and again.

Am I right in thinking his contract runs out at the end of the season? If so, thank you Aaron, sincerely for all your input, but now is the time to retire or move on if anyone wants to take a chance.

Oh and forget any ideas about becoming manager. If we stay up this season we need an established coach who can save us from a relegation battle every season.

The writing was on the wall last season with his awful "availabilty" record.

He is certainly out of contract at the end of this season and his allegedly "lavish" contract is at an end. I'm sure a decent manager and board could use those savings to import a couple of useful Championship level players - if we're still in it that is.

The burning question is though - have we got a capable manager and board?

I know it can change in a couple of games, but can't help looking at what's left in this 24/25 Championship - I'm referring to the bottom of it not the top. <doh>

Looks like Derby could hold the key to the trap door. Their last 5 games could well decide the 3 occupants sitting on it. I've read a lot of pundits are tipping them to stay up at our expense, but there are a number of other candidates for the 3rd seat. As long as we're not on it, Derby can stay up.

After their next 3 awkward games against Preston, Swansea and Burnley, Derby are left with away games at Portsmouth and Hull, and home games against Luton and Stoke. They've got a difficult away game slap in the middle of those four at playoff contender West Brom.

I hope it's decided before the final Saturday - I wouldn't want us to have to go to Norwich needing something from that game to stay up.

It does not matter about a new manager ,for gods sake drop Ramsey like a stone a complete waste of money,taxi is waiting i will pay to get rid of him.

Agree with Sparks. Like Chair at QPR, the little sod always does well against us.

As for the oxygen sucker he hasn't made the Wendies last 2 match day 20's.

Back to the bread and butter stuff for a moment - a 3rd pundit has now tipped to City to go down.

After Don Goodman and Jobi McAnuff dished their verdicts that City would go down with Plymouth and Luton, Lee Hendrie has now made it a hat trick with the same prediction.

They all reckon Derby will escape the drop and don't see Stoke, Hull, Oxford or Portsmouth getting sucked onto the trap door.

With 8 games and 24 points up for grabs still to go?................really?

Quite right Sparkey. The game is full of has beens and never was's with crystal balls. It's interesting that as I recall, Hendrie had spells with Stoke and Derby.

Of course they could be right but if they are, it'll be by luck not judgment. As you say, eight games to go with endless numbers of potential incidents that could influence the final outcome.

Seriously I do hope you’re right. I’ve just been reading about how we would probably lose a lot of players if we go down and the road back up will be a tough one. Birmingham City it appears are an exception as their board backed the squad to get promotion and kept all their best players. And it has paid off quite handsomely. Now our board on the other hand!
