Right then Coventry have done what was needed so over now to Boro, Watford and I suppose Pompey to do what’s necessary.
When we play Burnley on Tuesday, Plymouth play at Hull the same night. That's a very quick turnaround for them after this evening's cup game at Man City.
So Luton had a good day, Oxford, Derby & Pompey not so and Stoke fair but overall we have a 5 point cushion over bottom 3 with a game in hand (albeit v Burnley ) on two of them and better gd on some (how after shipping 7 at Leeds?)
Bum move by Eustace. Looks like he'll be plying his trade in League 1 next season - unless they sack him first.
Lampard seen as a bit of a joke appointment turning things around. Maybe we should get Rooney or Gerrard in the summer.
Just posted that on the Championship thread. I hope you realise the problems you've caused Cling. He was late on the match day thread. A slow start to the day as he thought you'd posted get 'the rum in'.
This thread is supposed to be about the run in and the games for those concerned - work it out...........
Yes of course how dull of me not to twig that given the opening post on your created thread questioned who our best midfield was
I assumed that as it wasn't us, but was about the Championship, the championship thread was the logical place for it. I suppose as a mod, its sparkey's perogative to do what he wants.
I totally deny that - I serve the members like Trump serves his country - as long as they agree with everything he does............. Anyone can post what they like where they like unless someone objects or it breaches the forum rules - just don't moan........
OK back to the "Run In" in general. That's two games lost in a week against two of the top 4 sides. Apart from the dissappointment of losing any game, did anyone on here really expect a different outcome? As it happens, apart from some dubious "on the hoof" managerial decision making, we played well enough in both games to take the points off anyone in the bottom half of the table. I don't understand this "we're going down" approach on here. I respect anyone's right to an honest opinion but I just don't get it. Is it being suggested that we're just not a good enough squad to stay up and that it's Riza who will take us down? Luton up next at the CCS on Tuesday, then Blackburn away on Saturday. Then after the international break we're back at the CCS to take on the Wendies to see March out. If we don't take at least 6 points from those games I'll be very surprised.
