I've been locked away in work all day today and haven't been near a TV. Has anyone got any links so I can see today's press conference with Pardew and Tiote?

    Thanks in advance!

Cheers guys, been a horribly long day trying to get British citizens out of Libya so after 13 hours locked in a room staring at my emails seeing Tiote had signed a new contract was a proper pick me up!

Cheers man, it's been a stressful week but thankfully I won't have to go into work tomorrow (so at least I can watch the match online) - but probably Sunday. Hopefully once all the Brits and our Embassy staff are back in the country it will calm down.

I hate to drag this football thread into current affairs...

I sadly don't think this will be resolved anytime soon. Qaddafi has strong support through his native tribe and the army that is still loyal to him. The UN sanctions may the Libyan economy hard (though this situation has already done so) but everything he has done over the decades during his regime has been to protect him in this kind of event. This is more likely to lead to civil war before any resolution, but as you say, I really hope it does not. It doesn't look good though.

Anyway, let's concentrate on happier things. 3 points against Bolton and a win on my accy would do that!

Didnt expect Tiote to sound like that, though he would have a deeper, scarier, voice!

Isn't there a rumour that he wants to buy NUFC and come over to the UK to live?

Agreed it doesn't look good and civil war is likely. Hopefully with the UN stating that the food infrastructure is already close to falling apart they are already taking steps to get aid in place. We can only hope that the conflict will be short and that stability will soon return.

And like you say 3 points tomorrow and Enrique getting first goal for me at 40/1 would be nice! :)

Interesting that Tioté says he wants us to push for top 5 next season. Is he highly optimistic, ambitious or just misled? Or... Deluded. Maybe he'll unleash his even more powerful form and carry us there.

Hes gonna give it an extra 1% effort, which means we will probably win the league next season.

An extra 1% effort from Tioté could destroy the world as we know it <yikes> Next year is 2012... The prophecies are true.
