What's the best outcome for Plymouth / Derby?

I'd normally go draw as it takes a point out of the overall mix, but maybe a Plymouth win? Certainly not Derby.
TBH I think Derby will escape anyway under Eustace, and their goal difference is similar to ours (if they drew level with us the goal diff would be pretty much the same). Whereas we have a much better goal diff than other rivals. With a bit of luck, Cardiff will get sucked into the bottom three. Possibly Oxford too.

I think Derby’s wins are a blip, but that will be clearer after the Plymouth game.

My current prediction for the bottom end of the table based on a combination of the current points per league game under the manager in charge, form over the last 10, and season-long form:

18. Hull – 51
19. Stoke – 48
20. Oxford – 48
21. Cardiff – 45
22. Derby – 43
23. Plymouth – 42
24. Luton – 41

Maybe it's just my attitude but I was much more bothered about overtaking Oxford last night than about how the teams below us did. It's our highest league position since bonfire night when we last played Oxford. I don't see why we can't look up instead of down when our direction of travel is so clearly positive. We should be looking at Portsmouth's results next with a view to overtaking them, not worrying about Plymouth and Derby.

Absolutely. I mentioned this on another post, but there’s a smaller gap between us and QPR in 14th than there is between us and Derby in 22nd.

I think it’s because where you finish between 14th and 18th is fairly irrelevant , nice to be higher but who really cares if you finish 15th or 16th in the league , While finishing above 22nd is still important so that’s still peoples focus while it’s still not settled

Is there much prize money like there is in the PL?

I've heard lots of people and 1904 podcast say that our goal difference is the same as an extra point but if we struggle and it's Derby that pick up and catch the 5 point difference i would also expect them to make up the goal difference of 4.

But if Derby catch up then they and us are still above Oxford, Stoke and Cardiff?

Had a scout around, and can't seem to find anything official. Most of the articles seem to focus solely on the money teams gain through the PL TV deal if they get promoted. The only thing resembling a list I've seen is found is on a website called soccerhint, which I've never heard of, so it might not be genuine list.

Breakdown of EFL Championship Prize Money Per Position

1st £5,000,000
2nd £3,500,000
3rd £2,500,000
4th £1,800,000
5th £1,200,000
6th £900,000
7th £700,000
8th £500,000
9th £400,000
10th £300,000
11th £200,000
12th £150,000
13th £100,000
14th £80,000
15th £60,000
16th £50,000
17th £40,000
18th £30,000
19th £20,000
20th £15,000
21st £10,000
22nd £8,000
23rd £6,000
24th £4,000

So basically **** all for anyone in the bottom half.

Meanwhile, Google also tells me that every Championship club apparently gets £2.3m flat fee from Sky, plus upto £100k for each home game televised (depending on slot), and away teams only get a flat £10k

Regarding 3,4,5 and 6, do the play off final losers still get the full gate receipts with the winners getting none of them? :emoticon-0138-think

Think it used to be a gentleman’s agreement because the winner is about to come into serious PL cash. I didn’t know it was an official thing now
