Poor result for Bournemouth. Chelsea just about scrape past Leicester. They've really been struggling for goals recently, even against a ropey Leicester defence. Of course there is one recent notable exception to Chelsea struggling to score...
In the league: 11 games 1 win 0 draws 10 losses 9 goals scored 32 goals conceded. I can’t see that improving much in the remaining 10 games
Not just an abysmal loss rate, but less than 1 goal scored per game, and nearly 3 conceded. There’s no element of bad luck involved here, no poor run of VAR decisions. This is all down to a poor squad being set up by an awful manager. This is quite simply the worst Southampton team of all time.
I am surprised he has performed so poorly at Leicester. Not sure if it is him or the club. I think Leicester will go straight back up next season.
JWP is alive and kicking. Leaving Saints hasn’t turbo charged his career. A bit player at Spam or captain of a sinking ship?
Talking about owners. Deeply unimpressed with Jim Ratcliffe. Smacks of a rich fan getting stuck into the business of the club because he is good at making money. Talked like he knew basically feck all about football. The unwillingness to talk about Dan ashworth ironical,y spoke volumes. Fair play to Gary Neville, he went hard for the jugular and was not interested in giving him a free ride. Taking miserly measures to save relatively tiny sums and then saying nobody ever gave me a free lunch, I’ve never had a free lunch is down right insulting and offensive. I put expenses thru my business so I’m confident the billionaire owner of a major company has had and regularly gets not just his lunch paid for but his top class hotels, limousine rides and many millions of pounds worth of benefits. He could no doubt cover many staff benefits from what he pays accountants to avoid paying taxes never mind the taxes themselves. I will say good on him for standing up and getting shot at.
Man Utd to build 'iconic' £2bn 100,000-capacity stadium close to Old Trafford - BBC Sport They can call it New Trafford!
Definitely a pattern in Manchester, after Man City bought the City of Manchester Stadium for £20 million.
Given all the belt tightening we have been subjected to, not one shilling of taxpayer money should be spent on that ****. It looks awful too.
