I didn't either at first. But then I remembered it a few days later when bored and went back to it. I built a castle in the middle of the open grass, then a bridge next to the castle, then a house. A year passes and I've now got a massive metropolis with skyscrapers, apartment blocks, football stadiums, a subway metro system, underground bars and clubs and the castle still stands there in the middle . I loved making lego cities as a kid and I've always loved architecture. Minecraft lets me do both these things while sitting on my arse.
Yeah it's not for everybody really. If you like the idea of building and laying out your own city*, with all the insides and outsides of buildings done up and streets all laid out etc then it will appeal but some people find it boring. I suppose the difference is that I don't play any other computer games and it's been well over a year that I've been doing it, on and off every so often whenever I fancy it.
nice city but i'm more into the kill and destruction games mainly FPS and as my comp is slowly ****ing up and dying so a good excuse to buy a new one just finding the right one now
That is insane, I hope you used something which let you spawn materials... As for the Minecraft for Android thing, it's nothing compared to the PC version at present, although I did see something about them intending to bring it more in-line with the PC one. At present you get a small world, a small selection of blocks and just get to build. No survival mode, no mining or other resource gathering, just block placing and breaking.
