Lots of ****e Utd teams won the league then I guess

Well, the winners weren't ****e. Better than the rest. But quite often, United didn't actually have to do much to beat the rest. Although actually come to think of it, that final Ferguson United title winning squad was pretty gash. How he got a tune out of them is unbelievable.

I disagree, it's a trophy and we'll want to win it and much SSD Newcastle. If we can get the league as well it's a double and that's a superb season.
Would be a superb 1st season for slot.

He's surprised everyone with how good he is tactically.

The point is just over 80pts was good enough to win leagues before peps city and Klopps Liverpool changed the game.

It's possible with citys current rebuild we will see a few years of that again, rather than everyone's ****.

Yes, and none of this contradicts my point and I still think there aren't any great teams in the prem this year apart from Liverpool. When there's no obvious high quality competitor for a title (this season, 20/21, us in 97/98) it makes it a dull and lower quality league overall. You could even argue it's hard to know how good Liverpool in 19/20 were given no-one gave you a game in the prem and you didn't even get past the first CL KO round.

But sometimes, it's not hard to win a league if the rest of the league doesn't have any great teams in it. But winning an easier league doesn't change the fact that Liverpool are highly likely to be a very, very good team right now. Just at least get to the final of CL to cement it.

We take no lessons from a gooner on how a champions league final will cement how good we are cheers.

The cheek of a gooner talking about cl campaigns being a barometer on true greatness

It's like fosse teaching us all comedy or something <laugh>

No doubt this will provide mirth as a wind-up comment to an Arsenal fan I suppose but it doesn't actually make any sense. The only very good teams you'll go up against this season are in the CL (Real, Barca, Atletico, Bayern possibly). If you don't beat at least one of them, I don't see how you can be viewed as a great team. One of the reasons Arsenal 03/04 are not viewed as one of the best is because they did squat in the CL against the very best.

Do you equate winning a one-off home game in the league stage to knocking a team out in the KO stage?
We are Liverpool

It's always failure If we're in the champions league and we dont win it.
