1. Matazo - he is the energiser bunny, looks a proper player

2. Coyle - nice to see him back to form

3. Gelhardt - slip a cheeky bid in for this lad, we need him.

Tbf Hughes, Macca, Alzate and Jospeh deserve mentions as does Lincoln, but a great TEAM performance.

energiser but also has actual skill on the ball. A welcome change from the usual.

Reactions: Howden Tigress
Could put anyone really but

1: Matazo - the stand out of the bunch imo.
2: Gelhardt - Have seen enough now to think we need to make an effort to keep him next season, even if it’s another loan. He was almost playing left back second half and still didn’t put a foot wrong.
3: Coyle - Their two biggest threats down his side and neither got much of a look in.

Matazo - best game from him so far by quite a distance

Coyle - back to what we’ve come to expect

Gelhardt - excellent hardworking performance

Alzate just misses out for me but only just and the rest all put in an amazing shift including the management team. Even the ‘brain team’ deserve some credit. Maybe it wasn’t that the players brought in weren’t good enough but just that they needed a bit of time to find their feet? Although Lincoln didn’t seem to need it going by his excellent spell from the bench.

Roll up, roll up, the votes are in. All votes, counted & verified, 5 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd.
Matazo, the run away leader with a massive 208 points! Well deserved. A record number of votes this game, showing appreciation of our overall excellent performance, noticeable appreciation also for Coyle, a sterling Captain's performance, back to one of his best.

Matazo 208
Gelhardt 99
Coyle 81
Alzate 22
Macca 14
Hughes 6
Lincoln 5
Pandur 4
Crooks 1
Jones 1

And that concludes the voting from Howden. I believe Ernie is now back (hopefully) fully rested and raring to go with our next game!

One last thing from me, if there was a SOM (Supporter of Match) it would surely be these two. Class. Puts football into perspective. Well done fellas. :emoticon-0150-hands

Many thanks Tigress for keeping the MOTM threads going whilst I toured the Asian sub-continent.

Here's my main takeaways:

India - Mental (but absolutely brilliant mental).

Nepal - Worst roads on the planet but I got the opportunity to see the living Goddess Kumari (which was nice).

One loss, one draw, one win whilst I was away. Three match form guide says we'll finish mid-table. Happy days.
